At the annual Pepcom tech exhibitor convention in tandem with CES, I was impressed with several tech innovations. Here’s a round-up of 11 gadgets that will knock your socks off.
Spire is like Fitbit for the breathing. A wearable that clips onto the belt or bra and tracks all the usual; however focuses on monitoring your breathing. More relaxed breathing means lower stress levels. Controlling breathing can lower blood pressure, reduce tension, and increase endorphins. The wearable monitoring along with app combo can suggest guidance and exercise when it matters. I can’t help but to label a “Keep Calm & Reduce Stress” label on this gadget that helps reduce stress through breathing.
4moms follows up their innovative & convenient product line like the Origami stroller with accompanying gadget & app- an auto adjusting and locking car seat. No more WWE style wrestling the back seat strap-in to get the kiddo’s buggy secure. This gizmo does the work for you.
Vivint Ping Camera is the latest addition to a security suite of products from the company. It spawned from their flagship doorbell camera in which they found children would use the doorbell as a shortcut to communicate with their parents. Thus they built an easy one-touch intercom style camera that allows viewers on the other side to video chat. Other features offer motion alerts, video analytics, live streaming 1080p video resolution plus more.
You couldn’t help but gravitate towards the Xcooter Urban Rider zipping past the showroom floor prior to opening for press. This portable motor bike folds with ease and can me pushed like luggage when not riding it. While on it the doohickey reaches top speeds of 15 mph. Similar to a moped you accelerate and brake with handles.
When we think of wearables we often think of something generally worn on the wrist. However with Lumo Run the monitors are built into the clothing. It’s geared at runners to free them of wires, head or wrist-wear. The sensor is waterproof, machine washable, and lasts up to at least one month on a single charge. Coupled with their app it features in-ear coaching along with metrics on running performance.
Catalyst waterproof cases for iPhone and Apple Watch removes the fragile care needed for your iDevices when in H2O!
With Kube you can literally bring the party. It’s a stylish Bluetooth boombox and cooler combo. Cheers! 😀
Automatic automobile diagnostic device can transform your car into the connected car via third party add-ons plus allows you to monitor an array diagnostics information via your smartphone.
igrow has a suite of products that resemble facial massage therapy for robots. 😯 Though it’s meant for humans they have FDA approved systems to help restore hair loss and recently added facial rejuvenation tech. The head-supported mask has a flip down that emits various forms of colored light to induce rejuvenation therapy.
Vuzix iWear Video Headphones captured an innovation award for it’s immersive headphone visor combo. Though aimed at gamers this headset mimics the equivalent of watching in a 125″ big screen experience.
Muse the brain sensing headband and app combo is another wearable aimed at guiding you to use relaxation techniques.
