AndroidTapp acquired by BlueStacks
May 9, 2016 9:00 AM –
It’s been an amazing journey this past 7 years reviewing thousands of Android apps. I know in the past we played a mean April Fool’s joke stating the search giant had acquired us, however, this announcement is indeed no joke. AndroidTapp has been acquired by BlueStacks. Yes… the cool Android emulator turned largest gaming platform on PC. There’s no need to be alarmed nor jump ship. We’ll still be conducting the world’s best Android app reviews. The AndroidTapp brand and focus on quality app review content will prevail- just residing on BlueStacks.com.
There are several benefits in this acquisition for readers and developers:
- Larger global reach; more than 130 million people around the world use BlueStacks.
- Streaming; gamers can easily stream their mobile games to Twitch via BlueStacks.
- Our user base does more; they have longer active times, they have better retention, and they spend more on or within games than those users on mobile devices only.
- More organic downloads; AndroidTapp alone reached under one million monthly readers. Now with the muscle of BlueStacks we reach more than 9 million people per month. We’ve multiplied our organic download reach.
This is a massively joyous moment for us. Our purpose is to enlighten our valued audience on the possibility to open their favorite app or launch their must-play game on a desktop or laptop in addition to mobile device. Stay tuned for more exciting developments and content.
