Carrr Matey. Never lose your car in a parking lot or a busy street again! CM guides you back using a compass or walking directions. Perfect for airports, stadiums, shopping malls, etc. Plus, use the timer to park at meters worry-free. (pirate theme) [carr matey] Must be outdoors to use.
Pros & Cons:
- Set the location and find your parked car
- Set timer reminders to avoid getting tickets at parking meters
- Jot handwritten notes of memorable parking signage
- Cool pirate theme to #GTD
Features & Usefulness:
With the cool pirate theme going on in the app I can’t help but say the name just like the intro dude from Sponge Bob Squarepants. 😛 Carrr Matey is an app that sets the GPS location of your car or whatever you want to set and find it later with built-in compass and ancillary features to help find your car in… say a large crowded parking garage. Say you’re in a complex parking garage, you may not only need to set the location of the garage as it’s multilevel but jot down some signage info, you can quickly do it by handwriting in the Harbor Mode to record level, letter, space and/or color info.
In car-heavy metro cities like mine, Carrr Matey really comes in hand as there are parking meters & garages everywhere downtown! There’s a simple yet nifty feature that allows you to set a timer to avoid getting tickets at parking meters. There are other features to share your location via email too.

Ease of Use:
Carrr Matey is pretty simple to use, be sure your GPS is turned on for accuracy, then launch the app and tap the “Drop Anchor” button. If you want to get fancy you can tap the “Harbor” button in the top right to set level, letter, space and/or color information about your parking location. When it’s time to return and find your car, simply tap the “Find Vessel” button and choosing between Map View (launches Google Maps Walking Directions) or Compass View (pointing you in the right direction with distance) it’ll guide you to your vehicle.
We predict it to be used sparely; for those trips to the grocery store, malls, or stadiums and you’re the type that always forget where you park.
Argh… Matey! Me be sporting ye ole pirate theme… ya!
