Color Block Slide Colored Path – how can a game so simple be so fun & addictive? Play and see why!
Aug 27, 2013 9:58 AM –
Color Block Slide Colored Path (formerly The Colored Path) is an engaging logic puzzle where you create a path through a grid of squares. The colors of the squares change each time you draw over them and you are given a template to match to complete the level. As fiendishly challenging and yet beautifully simple to play as any good puzzle game, it’s is the kind of game that might easily infect your dreams.
Tested on: Nexus 4
Pros & Cons:
- Plush HD graphics!
- Nice sound effects!
- Addictive and challenging gameplay!
The Colored Path is one of those evocative and simple-to-play puzzle games that’s incredibly hard to put down. Featuring hundreds of levels, a perfectly weighted learning curve and beautiful graphics it might just be your new puzzle addiction. 😀
The premise is simple; drag your finger around a grid changing the colors of certain squares. Ensure the pattern you create matches the template and the level is complete. The delicious joy of the game is that if you go over a square more than once it changes color again, giving each level multiple combinations.
The puzzles themselves are excellent. Controls are simple and you can easily pick up the game and just play it, the rules are that simple. It is very easy to become immersed in the gameplay and is thoroughly enjoyable if you have a logical mind. There are some 220 levels to work through so this can easily be a game you are playing for some time to come.

I really like the graphics and the sound effects when playing are also great. I would have liked to have had more in the way of options- perhaps music, the ability to turn the sound off or perhaps the option to share your score with friends; it would be a great game to be added to Google Play Games, and be able to compare scores with friends.
This perceived lack aside, it’s still a fun game and free to download and play. There are ads and the game is partnered with Giftiz, so expect some prompting on that front, but neither interfere with the excellent gameplay. If you’re a puzzle fan, you’ll most definitely want to give this a go.

The game is lots of fun and completing each level is rewarding. The learning curve is just right, meaning that before you know it, dozens of levels will have scooted by and you’ll still be engrossed enough to keep playing.
If you’re into puzzle and logic games, you’ll find this hugely addictive. The solution to each puzzle often feels quite simple and sometimes you just ‘see’ the solution as you are playing. This means levels can be completed in just a few seconds; great then even if you only have a few spare.
The graphics are excellent and offer HD resolution even on tablets. There’s lots of color and the option to adjust the squares to stripes (which will benefit the color blind apparently).
Accelerometer, Vibration & Sound:
There are some nice sound effects but not much else. A nice music ditty- like the one featured in the video above would have been a nice finishing touch.
