Pros & Cons:
- Easy to get stuck in!
- Simple to find a free game!
- Lots of players to compete against!
- Comprehensive access to rule, strategies and a forum!
- UI is pretty sparse (compared to many other card games).
- After a short period, compulsory sign up to GameColony.com.
Cribbage is a card game for two players where you have to group cards together or in combinations for more points. I’m going to assume that, if you’re into Cribbage and reading this, you already know the rules so will not deliberate here. Which is good, because I’m certainly no expert! Cribbage Live is an online multi-player space that lets you play against hundreds of other players. The game is very stable and, as long as you have a good Internet connection, pretty consistent.
The user interface is incredibly functional. The ‘lobby’ area (where available games are listed) is extremely simplistic, especially compared to many other online card games out there, notably the likes of PokerStars. However, the interface is at least clearly structured which allows you to quickly scroll down and find a free game to play. There is a token system involved to play certain games and while you can play many games for free, there is also the option to sign up to the VIP services and make in-app purchases. Perhaps one for the die-hards then…
There’s a chance that you’ve never heard of the game or never learned how to play it. It’s actually not a bad place for beginners as the game offers a comprehensive access to rules and strategies. There is also access to an online GameColony forum for additional information too. The Google Play Store is not perhaps swarming with Cribbage apps so, if this is a game you like and you want to take it virtual/online/mobile, be sure to give this a go.

This will clearly be divisive, if you enjoy strategy card games, this is definitely one you will want to try. However, if it’s not your thing, I doubt any features here are going to convince you of otherwise.
Card games are generally popular due to their addictiveness and this is no different. There are plenty of gameplay options too so it is easily something you could find yourself immersed in.
There are some nice little animations during gameplay and everything is pretty clear and easy to navigate. That said, the interface certainly isn’t petty. Functional, but ugly compared to most other games.
Accelerometer, Vibration & Sound:
It’s a game you play pretty much in silence, with no detectable vibration or need for the accelerometer.
