Is your Nexus One Insured?

I recently called T-Mobile’s customer service to cancel handset insurance had been paying for on my old G1 then switched to Nexus One on a personal account. There were reports of handset insurance from the carrier did not cover the Nexus One since it sold through Google.
However until recently this is no longer the case. You can insure the phone if lost, stolen or damanged but it wont cover the extended warranty; mechanical or electrical faults under premium handset protection.
Prior to learning this I literally installed almost all Android stealth and security apps (Mobile Defense, WaveSecure Mobile Security, Lookout Mobile Security, iTag, etc.) in preparation for the gamble if my DROID baby left my side. The extra five bucks a month is worth the peace of mind. Have the N1 and a T-Mobile customer? Is your phone covered, I recommend calling customer support to double check.
