Little Things Forever – what can you find among thousands of little things? (Download)
Jan 30, 2013 8:17 AM –
Little Things Forever is an incredibly cute finding game that is lots of fun for both children and adults. The game presents a rich tapestry in the form of a star which, when the game zooms in it is made up of all kinds of random items. For each level you play a new item is further zoomed in on to reveal lots more items. At the side of the screen you have a list of things to find and the game rewards you if you are able to do so quickly.
Tested on: Nexus 4
Pros & Cons:
- Smooth visuals!
- Pleasant music!
- Challenging and fun!
- If you find such gameplay frustrating, you’ll not like this game at all.
One thing that is noticeable to me is a recent proliferation of puzzle games that challenge to find items. Usually featuring a backdrop full of different bits and bobs to make the challenge difficult, you have to find specific items to complete the level. Such games have found their way to Android too- we’ve reviewed the likes of the official Scrubs game and Musaic Box which both include ‘finding’ gameplay.
Little Things Forever forgoes some of the ‘adventure’ elements of these games and instead challenges you to find shaped items amongst hundreds and hundreds of others. The game begins as a huge star made up of several items (fish, dominos, owls, ties, buttons, bowling balls, keys and so on). You then zoom in further you see hundreds of other things within the original. Located at the top right of the screen is a ‘shopping’ list of things you have to find. When you tap on them they sparkle- collect them all to complete the level.
Each level you complete wins you a puzzle piece and there are 9 different puzzles to complete, so massive potential for gameplay. Little Things Forever gives the gamer a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere to play in and, while the time it takes to complete the levels is monitored, you can really just play at your own speed if you want to. It’s a game that you can play regardless of your age and best of all it’s free!

The game is lots of fun and it’s very rewarding to find new things and unlock the next level. I’ve noticed it is a game both children and adults can play and it is enjoyable for both.
Yes it is quite addictive. I’ve found it to be a game that is quite relaxing and yet engages your brain at the same time.
The graphics, while essentially 2D and flat, are very smooth and looks great. Zooming in and out is very buttery and the game feels intuitive to play. Aside from the main images, the menus, etc. are well designed and simple to use.
Accelerometer, Vibration & Sound:
The music soundtrack is high quality, very chilled out and relaxing.
