(New Game) RUN FROM THE ZOMBIES!
Sep 20, 2013 1:52 PM –
RUN FROM THE ZOMBIES game has the one character running a maze from female undead zombies. His quest is to complete 10 levels and learn the secret why he’s being chased.
Tested on: Samsung Galaxy S4
Pros & Cons:
- Explore various mazes in a run & dodge game!
- Difficult controls.
- Very tiny text to read.
RUN FROM THE ZOMBIES has our hooded protagonist fellow on the run from female undead zombies in a maze to reach the end of the level in record time while not being caught. The view is an aerial bird’s eye view though with finite zoom so you cannot see much in the way of how to escape- only through exploration. You’re briefly shown the end goal and the game zips back to you so you get some indication of where you’re going. Controls are quite difficult plus the zoom jumps around as you run which is quite jarring. There are virtual joysticks on the left and right (I’ve found that you only use one at a time). It’s not clear exactly how you defeat zombies but my assumption is if they’re chasing you and you make them fall from outrunning them that counts as a defeat. There is added challenge in each level as some are dark and only offer you a flashlight, or some overhangs obstruct your view, etc. Once you reach the end of the level your time completion is tallied.

Fun Factor & Addictive:
Figuring out the maze from a finite view can prove rewarding. But to be honest the horrid controls make the game frustrating and could use more work. It could also benefit from some kind of action or indicator alerting you of near defeat when you run into zombies. To further explain, I initially suspected being caught by them had no affect, but they do, it’s just difficult to tell how and when you could die from being caught.
The game is a 3D game with decent graphic detail.
Accelerometer, Vibration & Sound:
The music sounds like it was plucked from a zany anime movie, high pitched and fast. Take my advice and mute it. 😡
