The spooky festival of Halloween is just around the corner but it seems to have already arrived in Lord of Heroes, the turn-based RPG by CloverGames. Celebrating their special occasion of 10 million downloads, the developers have also sent some juicy rewards in the in-game mailbox for all players. One of the best times to play any game is during a festival due to the great rewards being offered in generous quantities. Halloween is one of the biggest festivals in the west and Lord of Heroes is celebrating it in style with limited-time events and collectible items such as skins and accessories. Lord of Heroes is available as a free-to-play game on both the Google Play Store and iOS App Store. 

The new update focuses more on the side of new events with some minor adjustments here and there. This is mostly due to the festive season where new events are needed to keep the players engaged and entertained. However, the developers are assumed to release new heroes in the next update as teased in the Avillon Times for October which is released in a virtual e-magazine form. For starters, a new re-run of the popular hero Earth Nine is going to be released. A new limited-time dungeon for Halloween titled “Party Time! Halloween Party: Pumpernel” is also slated to start after the update. Let’s check out all the new things coming to Lord of Heroes with the 6th October 2022 update.

Earth Nine (Hero-Rerun)

Earth Nine is a 4-Star Earth elemental hero which is classified as a Strike in-game. Earth Nine has some great base stats at 1500 Health, 284 Attack, and 219 Defense. Players can acquire Earth Nine by purchasing their own special hero package from the shop via in-game microtransactions. The hero will be on a limited-time sale from 6th October 2022 till 20th October 2022. 

Take a look at the abilities and passives of Earth Nine:

Nimble Slash (Basic Attack) – Attacks the selected enemy. Grants the user a Leech buff for 1 turn(s) that restores health in proposition to damage dealt.

Shadowy Banishment (Active Skill) – Attacks all enemies. 100% chance to reduce their action gauge by 20% and increase the user’s action gauge by 20%.

Lv.5: Action Gauge Gain +5%

Blade Storm (Burst Skill) – Attacks all enemies. Increases the user’s attack power and generates a shield for the user based on their attack power that lasts 1 turn(s).

Lv.6: Spirit Cost -1

Pure Euphoria (Passive Skill) – Increases critical hit rate by 3% / 5% / 7% / 9% / 11% / 15%

Self-Affirmation (Passive Skill) – Increases damage against water-elemental enemies by 5% / 7% / 9% / 11% / 13% / 20%

Party Time! Halloween Party: Pumpernel Dungeon

Party Time! Halloween Party: Pumpernel is going to open for all players again in the wake of Halloween! Players can enjoy defeating Pumpernel and claiming juicy rewards by exchanging the collected event currency. The entire event starts on 21st October 2022 and ends on 31st October, lasting for a total of 10 days. Here’s a gist of how things work in the event:

• Players can access Party Time! Halloween Party: Pumpernel event from the main menu of the home screen. Simply click on the NPC Hughie which will take you to the event dungeon screen. Talking about the home screen, the entire Citadel will be decorated with Halloween decorations such as pumpkins, candles, lanterns, spooky apparitions of heroes, etc. The special decorations and events are being released purely for the festival of Halloween and are not permanent additions to the game.
• Players can click on the Start button and this will take them to the hero formation screen where they will be able to create a formation of heroes to take into the battle.
• A total of 12 different heroes are taken into the battle. However, you will not be able to select the heroes. 5 heroes from the dispatch will be taken into the battle along with 7 other heroes the system has chosen at random. 
• During the battles, players will not be able to control anything of the hero, let it be their skills, abilities, burst skills, etc. The heroes will only use their normal attacks and active abilities to keep the pace of the battles fast. The battle ends when there is either no turns left to take action or all heroes die. Yes, it’s going to be a time-limited battle where Pumpernel runs away after a certain number of turns. Players need to maximize the damage done to Pumpernel within a certain amount of turns.
• Each entry in the battle costs 3 Party tickets. The event currency for Party Time! Halloween Party: Pumpernel event is going to be “Halloween Memory Shards”. Players can exchange them in the special shop for juicy rewards.
• Party Tickets are replenished automatically over time and can be considered an AFK resource. A maximum of 9 Party tickets can be stored after which they will stop being replenished until consumed.

Party Time! Pumpernel Dungeon Rewards

Players will be able to get tons of rewards just by participating in Party Time! Halloween Party: Pumpernel dungeon. The higher damage you deal to the Pumpernel monster, the bigger its size. The bigger the size of the Pumpernel monster, the higher the rewards available to be redeemed! Here are the rewards all players can get according to the maximum size of Pumpernel throughout the event:

STEP 1 – Memory Shards x 10 (Size: 200 meters)

STEP 2 – Party Tickets x 3 (Size: 400 metres)

STEP 3 – Party Tickets x 3 (Size: 600 metres)

STEP 4 – Memory Shards x 30 (Size: 800 meters)

STEP 5 – Party Tickets x 6 (Size: 1000 metres)

STEP 6 – Party Tickets x 6 (Size: 1200 metres)

STEP 7 – Memory Shards x 60 (Size: 1400 meters)

STEP 8 – Party Tickets x 9 (Size: 1600 metres)

STEP 9 – Party Tickets x 9 (Size: 1800 meters)

STEP 10 – Memory Shards x 100 (Size: 2000 meters)

Calamity’s Bane (16th October – 29th October) (Term Event) rewards the players based on the number of Alliance Raid battles they take part in. The rewards and milestones to get the rewards are as follows:

• 8 battles of Alliance Raid – Renown x 30,000

Obelisk Ascension (13th October – 16th October) (Term Event) is a new event that rewards players based on the number of battles played in the Obelisk. The rewards and milestones to get the rewards are as follows:

• 10 Battles in Obelisk – Elixir of Insight x 20
• 15 Battles in Obelisk – Sigil of Bravery x 5
