There is surely no need to explain what Circle Battery Widget is. It does exactly what it says on the tin. Choose from several different widget sizes and tweak and alter the colours of the numbers and background as much as you want. It’s neat, clean, free, looks smart and is incredibly simple.
Price: Free
Tested on: HTC One X
Content Rating: Everyone
Pros & Cons:
Pros
- Looks minimalist and neat!
- Huge variety of widget sizes!
- Configurable!
Cons
- Might be too bland for some.
Features:
Circle Battery Widget is a cool and customisable widget for your homescreen. It’s basically something which will tell you what level your battery is currently. You can either have it as a percentage, or remove the numbers and view the circle as an indicator.
Customisation is a big draw for this handy little app. You can change the colour of the numbers, the circle itself and the background. You can also adjust the thickness of the circle and even get the widget to display in red when it reaches a certain level! There are loads of different sizes including: 1×1, 1×2, 2×1, 2×2, 3×3 and 4×4, so it’s easy to find room for the widget on your personalised homescreen space.
The configuration menu is relatively straightforward too. Simply adjust the background visibility and/or its colour. Show, colour, thicken, widen or blur the circle itself. You can adjust the background within the circle too. The app lets you display text (or not) change its size, make it bold or blur it.You can also set the widget to be clickable; this gives you quick access to the configurations and also a shortcut to your Android battery information.
Circle Battery Widget is another hugely popular app amongst homescreen modding fans. It’s incredibly versatile, can fit on any screen and is significantly customisable to let you make it unique to you. Obviously it might not be for everyone and perhaps some people are beginning to expect more with higher powered devices making user interfaces burst from the screen, however for minimalist fans, the app is pretty much perfect.
Tip: do not move this app to SD Card, else you will not be able to find the homescreen widget.

Usefulness:
Great for having a clear indicator for your battery level (especially if you just have an icon in your status panel which tells you very little). Also great for complimenting a minimalist and neatly designed homescreen.
Ease of Use:
Circle Battery Widget is incredibly simple and very easy to use. The menus are intuitive and uncomplicated making it a walk in the park to tweak and adjust the settings.
Frequently Used:
It might be something you check on regularly to monitor your battery usage, so certainly an app you would use on a daily basis. Then of course you can change the style and design of the widget as often as you want to change the look of your homescreens.
Interface:
The interface, like the app itself, is very simple. While this may put off people who prefer bolder and more luxurious-looking apps and widgets for those who prefer simple and low impact widgets, this is just awesome.
