About a year ago, we prepared a guide for Brawl Stars and talked about the benefits of special control schemes that you can get with BlueStacks. Brawl Stars was a very new game then, but it was renewed and matured over time. We can say the same for BlueStacks controls feature: Our customizable controls are much easier to use than before and give you countless advantages over your rivals. In this updated guide, you can find everything you need to know about the customizable BlueStacks controls for Brawl Stars.
WSAD Or The Arrow Keys: We Have A Solution For Both
The default control scheme of Brawl Stars is still the same: These controls, which use a combination of keyboard and mouse, are a suitable choice for beginners. If you wish, you can continue using them without making any changes. While preparing the default scheme, we used PC action games played from an isometric perspective, so almost every key will feel quite familiar. You can start the game with this scheme without the need for a “learning” process.
These are the default controls: You can see them by clicking the bulb icon we marked. When you launch Brawl Stars for the first time, this window will open automatically. Now, we offer an extra feature too: You can watch a short video about how to play Brawl Stars on BlueStacks, without switching to a different screen. Just click the “play” button. Clicking the “read article” link will open the support page for this game.
You can change this scheme and use any keys you like, just like before. The default scheme uses WSAD keys to move and mouse to shoot. Let’s say you prefer to use arrow keys to move and W key to shoot: Every player has a different habit, after all. Well, no matter which keys you prefer, you can create a truly personal control scheme by clicking the “edit” button on this screen.
Clicking the “edit” button will open this screen. The process is simple: Click on the key you want to change and assign a new key.
This is a sample scheme: We completely removed the mouse and used only the keyboard keys to move & shoot. You can create any scheme you like – it is up to you. For faster and responsive combat, we recommend using “W” to move forward, “E” to Super Attack, and “Right Mouse Click” to aim & shoot. Once again, however, the decision is yours.
You Can Also Change The Gamepad Controls
Oh, yes: Now, we support gamepads too. Since Brawl Stars was released, we’ve added a lot of new features to BlueStacks, and gamepad support is one of them. We provide gamepad support to dozens of games, including Brawl Stars: You are no longer limited to your keyboard and mouse. If you are using a gamepad, you can also change its control scheme and assign a different key to each function. You can use the same screen to do this: Just click the tiny gamepad icon and switch to the other tab.
We are talking about this tiny icon. The process is the same: Play the game with the default scheme or click the “edit” button and create a personal one. Don’t forget to click the “save” button once you are done.
Are You A Clicker? We Have Something For You Too
We mentioned that you can use only your keyboard to play the game and completely remove the mouse. Well, the opposite is also true: You can also create a visual control scheme and do not use any keyboard keys. Yes, the feature is that flexible: It allows you to do anything you like. For the best experience, however, we always recommend using a combination of both. So, what is this visual control scheme and how can you create one?
Click the marked icon in this screenshot to open the Controls Editor or press Ctrl + Shift + A at the same time.
Doing so will open this screen. These are visual control shortcuts: You can drag and drop them to the game screen. Each one has a different purpose. To play Brawl Stars, you need two of them: The “tap spot” and the “d-pad”. The first one is for shooting and the latter is for moving. Drag them to anywhere on the screen, the choice is yours. You also need to assign a key to both. Again, you can use only your mouse, only your keyboard, or use a combination of both.
Here is the result: We used one D-Pad and two Tap Spots in this setup.
It has been a year since Brawl Stars was released and BlueStacks is still the best choice to play it: The convenience of switching between control tools and the customizable controls feature are invaluable. Just like Brawl Stars, we evolved, gained new features, and became easier to use. We continue to offer you the best way to play Android games on PC, and we work every day to make your gaming experience even more enjoyable. If you are thinking of going back to Brawl Stars, this is the perfect time: BlueStacks offers all the features you need to defeat your rivals and gain trophies. See you in the arena!
