It’s hard to rank the overall ability of each class because every class usually has its strengths and weaknesses. With that being said, some classes are generally better choices than others.

In this guide, we’ve compared the Top 5 classes based on the following key parameters:

  • Ease of Use
  • How Long To Level
  • Use in PVP
  • Use in PVE

You can use this comparison guide to find a class below that fits your personal play style the best.

Best Archer Class – Silver Ranger (Elf Rogue)

There’s no doubt that the archer classes in Lineage 2 Revolution are some of the best options for general combat efficiency.

All archer classes have an advantage over melee classes because they can damage enemies from a distance. The best archer class in our opinion is the Silver Ranger. To access the Silver Ranger, you must play as the Elf Rogue.

Take a look at our summary of the Silver Ranger class below based on the 5 Key Parameters listed above:

Ease of use

The Silver Ranger is one of the easiest classes to use. You’ll have access to high-damage, high-range attacks that can be used to attack enemies from afar. Because of this, the Silver Ranger skillset is one of the best for farming.

How long to level

As mentioned above, the Silver Ranger is a great option for farming. It’s one of the easiest and quickest classes to level.

Use in PVP

Whilst the Silver Ranger has a very low learning curve, its lack of more complex abilities makes it a choice that’s hard to compete against other classes in PVP.

Use in PVE

The Silver Ranger is very easy to use for grinding but its relatively simple skillset makes it a weaker choice for more challenging dungeons.

Summary

The Silver Ranger is a perfect choice for somebody looking to level and grind with minimal effort. It can just about hold its own in PVE, but it starts to fall behind the other top classes in this guide in PVP.

Best Dungeoning – Abyss Walker ( Dark Elf Rogue)

Lineage 2 Revolution Abyss Walker Image

The Abyss Walker is a very rewarding class to choose, so long as you are able to master it. It’s one of the more challenging classes to play because of its low health stats, but if you can master the usage of potions, items, and skills, you’ll find this class is one of the best options for high DPS (Damage per Second). To access the Abyss Walker, you must play as the Dark Elf Rogue.

Take a look at our summary of the Abyss Walker Class below based on the 5 Key Parameters listed above:

Ease of use

The Abyss Walker is one of the hardest classes to use. It requires a lot of attention from the player because of its low health.

How long to level

Because the Abyss Walker has such high DPS (Damage per Second), it’s very easy to level this class. Just make sure you learn to avoid being killed whilst grinding and you’ll level up in no time.

Use in PVP

If you can master the Abyss Walker, you’ll quickly notice how effective it is in PVP. Its high DPS helps it to shred through other players quickly.

Use in PVE

There’s no denying that the Abyss Walker is perhaps the best class out there for clearing dungeons. The high DPS makes it an excellent choice for bringing down waves of enemies quickly.

Summary

If you’d like a high-risk, high-reward class with plenty of PVE potential, the Abyss Walker is for you.

Best PVP Class – Bladedancer ( Dark Elf Warrior)

Lineage 2 Revolution Bladedancer Image

The Bladedancer is similar to the Abyss Walker in many ways, but it’s even harder to master. Whilst the Abyss Walker is a good choice for PVE, the Bladedancer is a better choice if you’re more interested in PVP. Its PVE potential is also very good. To access the Bladedancer, you must play as the Dark Elf Warrior.

Take a look at our summary of the Bladedancer Class below based on the 5 Key Parameters listed above:

Ease of use

The Bladedancer is the hardest class to master in Lineage 2 Revolution. But mastering the difficult elements of this class offers massive potential. The Bladedancer is difficult because its health is pretty low. You need to constantly be ready to pop a health potion because a couple of critical hits from other players is often all that’s needed to bring the Bladedancer’s health down to zero.

How long to level

Because of the high DPS (Damage per Second), the Bladedancer can be leveled up very quickly. It offers a leveling speed similar to that of the Abyss Walker.

Use in PVP

The Bladedancer is a very powerful class and has lots of potential across the board. However, PVP is where it shines best. The Bladedancer can often shred most other classes to pieces.

Use in PVE

The Bladedancer is an excellent class for PVE. It offers a similar playstyle to the Abyss Walker in that you need to pay attention to stay alive but doing so will mean you’ll have the opportunity to do tons more damage than any other class.

Summary

A very powerful class across the board. Hard to master but incredibly powerful. It does exceptionally well in PVP.

Easiest Class to Play – Paladin (Human Warrior)

Lineage 2 Revolution Paladin Image

If you’re looking for a class that’s easy to play, you should go for the Paladin. The Paladin has balanced attack and defense stats, and its abilities are designed to deal with multiple enemies at once. To access the Paladin, play as a Human Warrior.

Take a look at our summary of the Paladin Class below based on the 5 Key Parameters listed above:

Ease of use

The Paladin is very easy to use – you can essentially ‘auto’ your way through the entire game and not have to worry about running into any issues.

How long to level

The Paladin has a relatively balanced leveling time – it’s not as fast as some of the high DPS classes shown in this guide, but you’ll still be able to breeze through levels relatively quickly.

Use in PVP

The Paladin isn’t bad at PVP. It just doesn’t have insane DPS (Damage per Second) like the Abyss Walker and Bladedancer (listed above), but its increased health makes it a great choice with a lot of ability for survival.

Use in PVE

The Paladin does best in PVE, especially in dungeons. His range of skills are designed specifically to deal with large waves of enemies.

Summary

A balanced class with plenty of PVP potential. The Paladin is perhaps the easiest class to use thanks to its balanced attack and defense stats.

Best Tank Class – Temple Knight ( Elf Warrior)

Lineage 2 Revolution Temple Knight Image

If you’re all about survivability in PVP and in dungeons, the Temple Knight is the class for you. Where it lacks in grinding speed, it makes up for it when fighting other players and finishing difficult dungeons. To access the Temple Knight, you must choose the Elf Warrior.

Take a look at our summary of the Temple Knight Class below based on the 5 Key Parameters listed above:

Ease of use

The Temple Knight is very easy to use. This is thanks to its huge health stats and range of abilities that allow it to negate damage.

How long to level

Because the Temple Knight is a tank-focused class, it’s damage output is limited. As a result, the Temple Knight takes a long time to level.

Use in PVP

The Temple Knight is very effective in PVP because of its impressive survivability. It’s not the best PVP class because of its limited damage output, but it’ll easily help turn the tides of battle in group PVP.

Use in PVE

The Temple Knight is a useful choice for when you’re playing with a team, but on its own, the Temple Knight takes too long to tear through enemies in dungeons.

Summary

If you’re a team player, like PVP and want to feel indestructible, go for the Temple Knight.
