League of Legends: Wild Rift Beta Expanding to More Regions. Special ‘Battle of Baron’ Event to be Held in Commemoration
Good news for those who are actively following the development and deployment of Riot’s brand new mobile MOBA game, League of Legends: Wild Rift: The recently-launched open beta, which was limited to only a handful of regions, is now expanding to include other countries. And to celebrate the occasion, the dev team is holding a special chat-based “Battle of Baron” event, which is scheduled for today.
Here are all the details about the upcoming open beta expansion and chat event:
Wild Rift Open Beta Available in New Countries
Starting this December 10, more players will be able to download and jump into the Summoner’s Rift. The new regions that will be added into the open beta include:
- Russia and CIS
- Middle East
- North Africa
If you’re in any of these regions and want to start playing, simply go to the game’s Play Store page and download it like any other app. Alternatively, if you want to play it on BlueStacks, you can simply search for the app in our Game Center and enjoy Wild Rift on PC.
Battle the Baron Event
To celebrate Wild Rift’s growing success in the regions where it’s become available, the devs are holding a special chat-based event where participants will get to battle against Baron Nashor by inputting chat commands in a livestream.
The livestream will be held via YouTube and you can find it in Wild Rift’s official channel. The way it’ll work is that, during the battle, the participants will be able to input specific chat commands to determine the moves that will be used against the Baron, with the move with the most votes winning. The idea is to defeat the boss before the time runs out.
To help players out, there will be special empowered skills popping up every now and then. Everyone must vote for these skills to use them before they go away. Similarly, characters from Legends of Runeterra, another one of Riot’s games, will sometimes appear, and players must vote for the correct command to summon them into the field. Once defeated, everyone will get a unique emote and icon in League of Legends: Wild Rift.
The Battle for Baron Event is scheduled to run today, December 10. So don’t miss out!
