League of Legends: Wild Rift Rings in Changes to the Temporarily Available ARAM Mode in Latest Patch
Patch 2.2a for League of Legends: Wild Rift is finally out and the sub-patch focuses mainly on the changes that have been made to the All Random All Mid (ARAM) game mode that is currently in the testing phase in-game. The developers have taken the feedback received from the first few days and have thus, decided to implement a few changes to reflect the same.
The ARAM mode picking phase has been shortened by 15 seconds to allow users to get into the game much quicker. Along with it, a set of balancing changes have been made to Champions for the ARAM mode, with Akali, Camille, Corki, Fiora, Lux, Lee Sin, Seraphine, Shyvana, Sona, Tryndamere, Vi and Ziggs all having their damage dealt buffed by 10% while the likes of Zed, Vayne, Kai’Sa, Jax and Evelynn have received a 5% buff. To balance out the increase in their ability to inflict damage, Lux, Seraphine, Sona and Ziggs will also receive 10% additional damage than they did before. The developers hope the balancing changes will make the ARAM mode a better experience for everyone involved.
Suit up for the new Champion – Rammus, the Armordillo
Rolling into the line of Champions is Rammus, the Armordillo.
The announcement reads,” Idolized by many, dismissed by some, mystifying to all, the curious being Rammus is an enigma. Protected by a spiked shell, he inspires increasingly disparate theories on his origin wherever he goes—from demigod, to sacred oracle, to a mere beast transformed by magic. Whatever the truth may be, Rammus keeps his own counsel and stops for no one as he roams the Shuriman desert.”
Named Rammus, the Champion is an armored armadillo, with all his abilities revolving around his typical behavior and passive ability that allows Rammus to roll on the ground back and forth. Powerball allows him to accelerate the speed of the rolls and also maim any enemy that comes into his path during the time Powerball is active. Rammus also uses his defensive mechanism well with Defensive Ball Curl, which builds an aura or shield ball around the armadillo. While the Defensive Ball Curl is active, Rammus can deal bonus magic damage, absorb magic damage as he slows down and gains armor while also reflecting the damage dealt by the enemies onto their own selves. Frenzying Taunt allows him to taunt a target and in turn, gain attack speed. But, the ultimate is the showstopper, with Soaring Slam allowing Rammus to hop into the air before slamming into the ground with a massive AoE, with the aftershocks dealing continuous damage and slowing the enemies in the AoE.
The Champion has been released in-game on the 22nd of April at 0001 Hours UTC.
New Skins, Accessories and Event – The Stargazers
A flurry of new skins will also make its way gradually throughout patch 2.2. The new skins detailed in patch 2.2a revolve mostly around the Stargazer theme, with Stargazer Camille, Stargazer Soraka and Stargazer Twisted Fate set to be released along with two new skins for the new Champion Rammus – Molten Rammus and Sweeper Rammus.
New Stargazer-themed Accessories have also made their way into the game, with new icons – Stargazer Endeavour and Stargazer Triumph, new Stargazer Pengu emotes, new Stargazer Baubles and new Recalls – To The Stars and Cosmic Transcendence – all set for release.
The Stargazers event features the trio of Camille, Twisted Fate and Soraka in the spotlight. The event has already started from the 15th of April and will run till the 27th of the said month. Two missions are unlocked every day, with players only able to have two active missions available at any given time. The missions are easy to complete, thus giving players a chance to earn the Blue Motes and accessories available as rewards due to the event.
Completing missions will give players Event XP which will yield rewards on a tiered basis, with the highest tier being the Stargazer Triumph Icon available at 275 Event XP.

However, there was a bug prevalent that often displayed the cost of Glorious Enchant as 800 gold. The same has been fixed. Sunfire Aegis has been nerfed a bit, with the base damage now dealing a maximum of 25 compared to 30 before while the Bonus Damage HP Ratio has been lowered to 0.8%.
Turrets and Testing – Gameplay and Miscellaneous Changes
The Turrets have received a major buff in order to curb the recently prevalent practice of champions grouping up in early stages. The duration of additional bonus armor and Magic Resistance to Solo Turrets in each lane and outer turrets have been increased from 3 minutes to 4 minutes. In addition to the same, the bonus armour to outer turrets in case of grouping up has been massively increased.
If 3 champions group up, the outer turrets gain 250 Armour and Magic Resistance; 300 in case of 4 champions and 350 Additional Armour and Magic Resistance if there are 5 Champions grouping up.
The 120fps option has now been added to high-end devices like OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, Google Pixel 5, ASUS ROG Phone 2 and Razer Phone 2.
