League of Legends: Wild Rift – Patch 2.1B is Now Available

Thanks to the Path of Ascension event, which is now available courtesy of patch 2.1B, three new champions: Diana, Leona, and Pantheon are now available in League of Legends: Wild Rift. All the players will be able to unlock one of the three champions by completing missions in the “Path of Ascension” event. The event will kick-off on March 16

Additionally, several in-game changes and balance optimizations were also introduced. Let us breakdown the entire release notes for patch 2.1B.

New Skins Now Available

Here is the list of skins that are now available with patch 2.1B:

  1. Infernal Diana
  2. Dark Valkyrie Diana
  3. Full Metal Pantheon
  4. Dragonslayer Pantheon
  5. Barbecue Leona
  6. PROJECT: Ashe
  7. PROJECT: Leona
  8. PROJECT: Yasuo
  9. PROJECT: Vi
  10. PROJECT: Zed

Path of Ascension Event

The Path of Ascension event allows players to pick a path between the Moon, Sun, or War. Each of these paths gives players different missions to complete. After completing these missions, players can obtain one of the new champions: Diana, Leona, or Pantheon.

The duration of the event is from March 16 to March 29.

Changes to Champions

Aurelion Sol

  • (Passive) Center of the Universe

Starbase damage decreased:

18/26/34/42/50/58/66/74/82/90/98/106/114/122 to 15/21/27/33/40/47/54/61/70/79/88/97/108/119/130

  • (Skill 2) Celestial Expansion

Base damage from this skill also adjusted: 

25/35/45/55/65/75/85/95/105/115/125/135/145/165 to 25/32/39/46/54/62/70/78/89/100/111/122/138/154/170

  • (Ultimate Skill) Voice of Light

Cooldown Increased Slightly: 65/55/45s to 80/65/50 s

Soraka

As per Riot, Soraka is a bit weaker compared to other support champions. So, they’re going to give her more star power to help her shine on the Summoner’s Rift. 

  • (Skill 2) Astral Infusion

Base Heal Increased: 80/110/140/170 HP to 80/120/160/200 HP

  • (Skill 3) Equinox

Cooldown Decreased: 22/20/18/16s to 20/18/16/14 s

Tristana

This patch gave Tristana a small buff to her mana and her second skill, Rocket Jump’s slow effect.

  • Base Stats

Base mana per Lvl: 33 to 41

Mana at Lvl 15: 762 to 874

  • (Skill 2) Rocket Jump

Slow duration increased: 1/1.5/2/2.5s to 1.5/2/2.5/3 s

Yasuo

Yasuo sees a huge nerf in patch 2.1B.

  • Base Stats

Base Armor decreased: 40 to 35

Base Health decreased: 650 to 570

  • (Skill 3) Sweeping Blade

Dash Speed Adjusted: 1200 + Movement Speed to 900 + Movement Speed

Ziggs

Ziggs’ Mega Inferno Bomb gets a slight area-of-effect buff because of how of its ineffective hit accuracy. However, his second skill sees a slight nerf.

  • (Skill 2) Satchel Charge

Tower destroy threshold reduced: 25/30/35/40 % tower HP to 20/25/30/35 % tower HP

  • (Ultimate Skill) Mega Inferno Bomb

Outer AoE size radius increased: 4 to 5

Inner AoE size radius increased: 2 to 2.5

Changes to Items

Locket is too strong of an item at the moment, especially in early game team fights. Riot will cut down some of its early power and increase its purchase price to stop it from being purchased too quickly.

Locket Enchant

Price: 500g to 800g

Shield Amount: From 140 – 420 (120 + Lvl x 20) to 70 – 420 (45 + Lvl x 25)

Changes to Runes

Conqueror

Conqueror was slightly over-tuned for ranged AP champions as compared to other options. Also, for ranged champions, it is being nerfed somewhat.

AP per stack: From 4 to 12 (based on champion level) to 3 to 9 (based on champ level)

Maximum stack Adaptive Damage bonus: From 10% on ranged champions to 7% on ranged champions

Changes to In-Game Systems

Backdoor Bonus

Backdoors won’t be accessible anymore!

“Backdoor bonus” tower damage reduction increased: Starting with 66%, then 33 % at 18 minutes to 66% through the whole game.

Lane Swaps

Turrets will be stronger when multiple allies attempt to take them down together!

Before patch 2.1b

All outer turrets gain 50 bonus Armor/Magic Resist for the first three minutes.

Now:

  1. If three champions in total attempt to take down turret: 40 Armor/Magic Resist.
  2. If four champions in total attempt to take down turret: 80 Armor/Magic Resist.
  3. If five champions in total attempt to take down turret: 120 Armor/Magic Resist.

After patch 2.1b changes

During the first three minutes:

Solo (Baron) lane outer turret will have 90 bonus Armor/Magic Resist

Mid lane outer turret will have 90 bonus Armor/Magic Resist.

Duo (Dragon) lane outer turret will have 40 bonus Armor/Magic Resist

During the first three minutes, turrets will also gain some additional defensive bonuses when multiple enemies are close to them:

  1. When there are two champions: 10 Armor/Magic Resist
  2. When there are three champions: 100 Armor/Magic Resist
  3. When there are four champions: 200 Armor/Magic Resist
  4. When there are five champions: 300 Armor/Magic Resist
