ELM The program is focused on original ELM327 chips https:// www.elmelectronics.com. Not all Chinese adapters support the full functionality of the original ELM327. Therefore, if OpenDiag does not connect to the ECU, there is no need to “kick” it with other programs that connect. They communicate with the ECU using the OBD-II standard. OpenDiag communicates via the ECU protocol and requires the full functionality of the original ELM327. USB USB adapters require USB-Host support on your smartphone or tablet.
