Understanding the Gameplay Mechanics

Code Geass: Lost Stories is a strategic RPG that makes use of real-time tower-defense combat system in battles. Players are required to devise a good formation consisting of powerful Pilots and Knightmare frames. A good formation is usually consisting of Pilots that are having diversity, in terms of Roles. Each Pilot is assigned a Role and base rarity. The higher the base rarity, the more powerful the Pilot is generally considered due to increased base stat, extra damage multipliers, and better quality of skills. The roles of Pilots are as follows:

    1. Assault – These are generally melee-ranged Pilots that cost less energy to be deployed into battles. They also act as a great source of dealing damage to enemies in front of them.
    2. Repair – These Pilots are generally not participating in battles, rather they support allies from outside by providing KMF skills.
    3. Guard – These are generally melee-ranged Pilots that cost less energy to be deployed into battles. They also act as gatekeepers, safeguarding our zones from enemies.
    4. Specialist – These Pilots are generally more inclined towards healing, and buffing allied pilots on the battlefield. They cover a wide range of allies to heal them with their basic attacks and abilities.
    5. Strategist – These Pilots are best known for their wide array of buffing and debuffing capabilities.
  • Exterminator – These Pilots are the titular DPS characters in the game. They are known for having the highest base attack and DPS potential in the entire game.

There’s also the notion of “Deployment Cost” that needs to be considered when making the right choice of adding Pilots onto your formation. Each Pilot has a certain deployment cost that is required to deploy them on the battlefield. This resource is generated over time in battle. The lesser the deployment cost, the easier it becomes to deploy your entire squad. However, do not get falsely misled that low deployment cost Pilots are always good, since they might lack good skills and fall off easily. A healthy mix of Pilots ranging from low-high deployment cost is recommended.

Understanding the Scouting System

Code Geass: Lost Stories is a hero-collector RPG in disguise as it makes use of the innate gachapon system to give players opportunity to collect & use different Pilots. The gacha system is known as “Scout” in-game. Players can unlock this system after completing the tutorial. Pilots, as we mentioned before, come in different rarities and offer different roles in a team composition. Higher the base rarity of the Pilot, the lower the probability to obtain them. The lower the base rarity of the Pilot, the higher the probability to obtain them. Here are the rates to summon the different rarities of Pilots:

  • 4-Star Pilots– 3% Probability of being summoned
  • 3-Star Pilots – 15% Probability of being summoned
  • 2-Star Pilots – 40% Probability of being summoned
  • 1-Star Pilots – 42% Probability of being summoned

Understanding the Different Currencies

Code Geass: Lost Stories harbors many of the tell-tale signs of a live-service RPG, such as using and assigning different currencies to the different systems at play. In this section, we are going to be talking about the main currencies that are extremely important to understand in order to maximize progression:

Code Geass: Lost Stories – Conquer Brittania by Understanding the Basics

  • Stamina – Stamina remains to be the core resource in the game. It’s the resource that is required if you want to play the game, to put it simply. Stamina regenerates over time. Additionally, players can also get Stamina from doing in-game activities, using large & small pizzas, and using Sakuradite to recharge.
  • Geass Coin – Geass Coin is also one of the primary currencies in Code Geass: Lost Stories. It is available in abundance throughout the game. Geass Coins are mainly collected by completing quests, in-game activities, events, login rewards, pre-registration rewards, main story stages, and more. Geass Coins are used to upgrade Pilots and Knightmare frames.
  • Sakuradite – Sakuradites are the premium currency of Code Geass: Lost Stories. They are scarce in nature, and should be saved unless used for summons. They are available in 2 types – Free Sakuradite and Paid Sakuradaite. The former is freely available and will be used first, while the latter are paid-only and will be used later. Sakuradite is primarily obtained from events, pre-registration rewards, quests, and first-time clearance of main chapters. Sakuradites are used for summoning Pilots, and/or recharging Stamina.

We recommend playing Code Geass: Lost Stories on a PC using BlueStacks with a keyboard and mouse for a 60 FPS Full HD lag-free experience on a bigger screen.
