The racing mostly happens on these lunar tracks full of neat obstacles, some tricky jumps, and all sorts of things that’ll slow you down if you’re not careful—like moonfizzle balls or Romeo’s shrink ray popping up out of nowhere. There’s a bunch of levels (well over thirty), and each one switches up the layout and the types of challenges you run into, so it doesn’t get repetitive.

Each hero actually handles a bit differently, too. Catboy is quick off the mark, Owlette can spot and just pull in more of those crystals, and Gekko pulls this invisibility thing that lets him go through obstacles without any trouble, which feels almost like cheating in the best way.
