RPG Astral Takers plays like a classic JRPG that leans hard into party building and smart turn order choices. The story follows Revyse, a summoner-in-training under Master Volgrim, who bumps into Aurora, a girl with no memories. That setup sends the group through dungeons and odd ruins while chasing answers. The hook is the Summoning system. Using Echostones, the player calls in heroes from other worlds, then builds out a roster of up to eight characters. Each one has distinct skills and affinities, and only four head into battle at once, so team composition and who sits on the bench actually matters.

Combat is turn based with a neat twist. Enemy actions are forecast, so planning turns becomes a small puzzle instead of guesswork. Members can be swapped mid battle, which lets a fragile healer tag out when enemies target them, or a counter unit jump in right before an incoming hit. Affinities push the player to exploit weaknesses and set up advantages. Outside fights, it is dungeon crawling, cracking chests for gear and gold, then using shops to trade up when battles start to sting. Retreat is a valid button when a boss is obviously out of range.
