Epic Seven is one of the top-grossing anime-stylized gacha games to ever grace the mobile market. With a robust and intuitive turn-based combat system, it has captivated millions of players globally along with hosting a successful multi-year World championship. As a new player, you will have access to resources in abundance. A judicious and strategic use of these resources is crucial for your progression. Let’s check out all the gameplay mechanics of Epic Seven in this thorough beginner’s guide!

The Combat System of Epic Seven

If you’re familiar with how turn-based games work, then the combat mechanic of Epic Seven won’t surprise you much. You firstly need to create a line-up of 4 unique characters and a Pet. In the beginning, you won’t get access to Pets, so don’t sweat about it. The characters can be of any rarity or element. Battles work in a turn-by-turn order, where each ally or enemy takes their turn depending on how high they are in the combat readiness stat. This is a passive stat that dictates the turn order of all enemies and allies. The higher the speed, the faster your hero will get turns. There are many abilities that can increase/decrease combat readiness as well.

Each battle can consist of a single wave of enemies or multiple waves of enemies. You can get passive buffs such as HP recovery and Soul recovery by tapping on glowing structures when you move from 1 wave to another. This increases the intuitiveness of combat in-game. Epic Seven is fully equipped with multiple quality-of-life features such as 2X battle speed, auto-combat, auto-repeat, and background auto-repeat. The last feature allows players to simply focus on other in-game tasks while the battling continues in the background.

The Gacha System of Epic Seven

As we mentioned before, Epic Seven hosts a linear gacha system that allows players to recruit the strongest heroes in the game. The gacha system of Epic Seven allows players to get both heroes and Artifacts making it a mixed banner. Keep in mind some banners only feature heroes, such as Galaxy Summons.
