Speaker 1:
Let’s talk about setting a mood and a tone for your channel. I’ll start from the top. The best way to get people on the same gear as you, the same page as you, start with your title. Let it be known what you guys are doing for the day. There are times where, as a streamer, we want to do, let’s just say, different things. We don’t want to play the game that we play on a daily basis. We want to try something new. Let it be known in the chat, so before people actually enter your stream, they can see what’s going on, where’s your head, how you’re feeling, and what you’re going to be playing. All these little things definitely set a nice tone for your stream. Also, depending on how you express yourself, setting a tone and a mood for your stream is important.

Set up your streams days before. I’ll use an example. Let’s say Friday is a stream as normal, but Saturday, you want to plan something special. You want to have some fun. Let them know that Saturday is going to be a fun event, a special event. Get your friends invited. These are things that help build anticipation, build a hype, build an energy. It’s things that people look forward to that are going to help smooth out and guide your stream into a better direction. When it comes down to setting the mood and the tone for your stream, it’s all about how you carry yourself, how you’re displaying things that you want to introduce, or setting up the play for the new events, or anything that you’re trying to do in the future. It’s about you creating this aura, this energy, this anticipation, this hype.

I find that when you’re having a good time, and you’re expressing this, the viewers and the audience keep coming back. They magnetize towards you. They have a great time as well. If something during your livestream makes you laugh, and you just crack a genuine smile or something like that, someone watching is probably going to feel the same way. They’re going to pull their phone out. They’re going to be busting a smile as well. They’re going to be having a nice time. They’re going to want to stick around for longer. I can tell you this, as a viewer myself, not just a streamer, as a viewer, I love when I’m watching a stream, and they just bust out laughing or something crazy like that, I genuinely have a good time as well. I try to take these experiences and just manipulate them in my own way, and then create it on my stream.

Make sure you’re having fun. Don’t dawn on the negative topics and chat. Don’t give any time of day to people that are trying to not really roll on the flow that you’re going with. Just make sure everything’s going your way, right, fun, happy, good times, good vibes. If you want to take a different route, if for some reason you want a more chill tone, a not so high, not so spammy, whatever, it’s about how you display your energy. Go about and watch your streams over. Take a look at what you did and how you reacted in certain moments. Try and take those situations, and either replicate them, use what works best for you, use what didn’t work, and try and eliminate or work on not creating those type of situations. Think about the conversations, or topics that are being thrown about as you go down a route that you don’t really want to take. Just try and avoid, steer clear of those situations.

Again, just look at it as … It’s like a big test. You have to do your homework. You have to review yourself, and make sure you understand what makes you feel good, what makes your stream feel good, what takes you on the up route. Do your own research on yourself, on your own streams, and look at it as a viewer, and just take a whole nother spin on it, and just work on bettering yourself. I think that will definitely improve the mood, the stream, the tone of your channel, and you’ll see better things come to you on a daily basis, more people that will gravitate towards your energy, your style. You’ll find that you guys probably have a lot of stuff in common.
