What are Heroes in Endless Grades: Pixel Saga?

Heroes, also known as “characters”, are the core bread and butter units that you can recruit and deploy in battles. These heroes come in differing rarities, with the highest being SSR, and the lowest being R. The higher the rarity of the hero, the better base stats they will have. By base stats, we mean to say attack, defense, and HP (Health Points). Heroes also come in different types, each type defining their playstyle. For example, some heroes excel at dealing damage and can increase the combat offensiveness of your team.

Other heroes can be more of a defensive tank that can absorb damage for your team by being in the frontline. A balanced team composition consisting of DPS, Supports, and Tanks is recommended if you want to reach higher stages in the game. Being an RPG game, players can upgrade their heroes through several growth processes in Endless Grades: Pixel Saga. These processes are simple to understand but complicated to handle in the long term. Since you only have a limited amount of resources, it’s important to select some core heroes in your squad to upgrade. Ideally those heroes that you will be using long-term, such as SSR rarity heroes.

Levelling Up

If you want to enhance the base stats of your characters as fast as possible, the best way to do it is by simply levelling up your heroes. Players can level up any hero, regardless of their rarity or type. Levelling up requires some experience items that players can get from events, afk stages, idle loot, and redeem codes. Many events also give out exp items. Simply go to the hero tab, select any hero, and click on the “level up” icon.

Your heroes level will automatically increase by 1 and some exp items wilk be consumed. Players can speed up the levelling process by keeping the level up button pressed for longer durations. Keep in mind, there is a level cap attached to each hero. This level cap can be increased by ascending them to higher star values.

Equipment

Equipping your heroes with the right equipment can be a game changer for any account. Not only do these equipment provide additive stats but can also shape the playstyle of your hero. Make sure to upgrade the equipment time to time. Your valkyrie’s equipment are fixed, meaning they cannot be replaced. But the stats are shared by all the heroes deployed in your formation.

Hence, simply focus on improving the gear on your valkyrie for bonus stats. You should be seeing 6 different gear slots; each being equipped by a gear item. These gears increase your heroes attack, armor, and HP. Players will require a different currency called “Dragonglass” if they want to enhance the quality of these gear pieces. Dragonglass can be acquired from quests, dungeons, tower, market, and idle rewards.

Skill Up

All heroes have individually unique active and passive skills that they can use in battles to help you defeat any foes. The good news is that players can empower these skills by going to the hero tab, and selecting any hero you want to upgrade. Next, go to the “Skill” tab. Here, you should be able to see all the skills available to be upgraded. Keep in mind, this uses a separate currency which is harder to get. Do not upgrade the skills of heroes you will not use long term, as your investment will go to waste. Ideally, focus on upgrading active skills first rather than passive skills, since they do more damage and make up the core of any hero.
