Understand the Core Gameplay Loop of Grand Crown: Pandora’s Fate
At the core, Grand Crown: Pandora’s Fate is an Idle RPG that boasts automated turn-based battles wherein players have little to no control over their characters. The entire narrative of the game speaks casually, as you don’t have to grind a lot to gain power. Initially, you will be completing the main story chapter stages that reward you for your efforts. This is also the main game mode that attaches the storyline with the gameplay, and unlocks several of the other features in the game.
Coming to combat, it is quite straight-forward, as expected by an Idle game. Players can craft a team of up to 5 distinct heroes. Hero placement is strategic, as each hero is unique and divided into certain classes. For example, some heroes are good at frontline and absorbing damage, while others can deal more damage and should be placed in the backline. A healthy team composition can last you a long way in the game. Our recommendations would be 2 DPS, 1 Tank, 1 Healer, and 1 Support.
Factional advantage is another combat mechanic which can empower your entire line-up. Essentially, if you have certain amount of heroes from the same faction, this bonus will trigger and grant you extra stats such as HP, damage increase, and attack.
Knight Emblem Quests
The Knight emblem is an amazing questing system that allows players to complete basic quests in order to progress their knight values. This system is designed to guide new players in the form of quests, and reward them with surreal amounts of premium currency, summons, and more. Players can simply click on it to view their current active quests. Once all the quests are completed for the current knight rank, your rank will be upgraded and a new set of quests are given. Keep in mind, these quests grow harder in difficulty but the rewards are well worth the efforts.
Heroes
Heroes are the core bread and butter for any account when it comes to combat. In Grand Crown: Pandora’s Fate, heroes are divided into several rarities, factions, and classes. Each hero possesses unique active and passive abilities that can be empowered. The higher the rarity of the hero, the stronger they are considered due to better base stats, and a better quality of abilities. Players can get heroes via events, summoning system, and newbie quests. Heroes come in the following rarities – UR, SSR, SR, and R. Some SSR heroes are given to all players for free after they reach a certain point in the main storyline.
Since Grand Crown: Pandora’s Fate is an RPG, players have the ability to train their heroes for more growth. These growth systems can even help a weak SR rarity hero become a powerhouse. For starters, you can choose to level up your heroes, and see a huge increase in their base stats (Attack, HP, and Defense). Additionally, you can also equip heroes with strong pieces of gear to enhance their stats, and give them additional abilities. Hero promotion is another mechanic that can increase the base stats of the hero but it requires duplicates of the hero, becoming an expensive process if you’re a free-to-play player.
Understanding the Summoning System of Grand Crown: Pandora’s Fate
The summoning system of Grand Crown: Pandora’s Fate is officially called as “Summoning Shrine”, and it unlocks after you complete the 3rd stage of chapter 1. Players will be visiting this place a lot, as it is the primary way for any player to get their hands on the game’s most powerful heroes. The system employs a gacha themed mechanics wherein there are different hero banners, and players can summon on each of them. Each summoning banner has different mechanics, and often require different currencies to summon on. At the time of global launch, there exists 3 different banners:
- Ordinary Summons – In this banner, players can summon for R-UR rarity heroes at varying probabilities. Players can use their Ordinary Summon Covenant to summon on this banner. Each day, all players are given 1 free summon on this banner. This banner has a pity system wherein players are guaranteed an UR rarity hero when reaching 1000 points. Each summon grants 1 point towards the pity.
- Advanced Summons – In this banner, players can summon for R-UR rarity heroes at varying probabilities. Players can use their Advanced Summon Covenant or Diamonds to summon on this banner. This banner has a pity system wherein players are guaranteed an UR rarity hero when reaching 1000 points. Each summon grants 20 point towards the pity.
- Friendship Summons – In this banner, players can summon for R-UR rarity heroes at varying probabilities. Players can use their friendship points to summon on this banner. This banner has a pity system wherein players are guaranteed an SSR rarity hero when reaching 1000 points. Each summon grants 2 point towards the pity.
