Tales of Grimm Tier List with the Best Characters in the Game (Updated July 2022)
Tales of Grimm offers a wide variety of fairy tale characters for us to unlock and upgrade, and use them to create unbeatable teams that can stand against even the strongest of opponents. However, since this game features mostly automated combat, your role as a player is more of a manager; that is, you’ll be attempting to obtain the best characters from the gacha, and then upgrade them as much as possible, in order to unleash their true potentials and make them shine on the battlefield.
However, as a game with almost 100 different characters, knowing which ones are the best can be quite challenging, especially since Tales of Grimm is quite new at this point. Luckily, in this tier list, we’re going to give you a quick rundown of the best characters in the game as of launch. In case you’re thinking of rerolling in Tales of Grimm, you’ll want to keep an eye out for these bad boys and gals.
The best of the best. These characters don’t need any support nor allies to carry you to victory. If you’re rerolling in Tales of Grimm, these are the ones you’re aiming for.
- Dark Queen (Myth, Warrior, Darkness)
- Prince Charm (Myth, Warrior, Light)
- Yuri Schnee (Myth, Warrior, Water)
- Mad Granny (Myth, Support, Darkness)
Not as good as the ones in S Tier, but very competent in their own right, especially when you put them together with allies that can cover their weaknesses and bolster their strengths.
- Britney (Legend, Mage, Fire)
- Cindy (Myth, Mage, Water)
- Sharyar (Myth, Guardian, Fire)
- Quickcut Pinno (Myth, Warrior, Fire)
These are the middle-of-the-road characters that are common in most teams. Though they’re not bad, you’ll want to replace them for better candidates ASAP.
- Lil Prince (Myth, Warrior, Wind)
- Rogue Jack (Legend, Warrior, Wind)
- Carabosse (Legend, Mage, Darkness)
- Bean Sage (Legend, Guardian, Wind)
As usual, this tier exists to illustrate the types of characters that you should avoid at all times. Either because their kits aren’t very good, or don’t adhere to the current meta, or simply because their stats are unremarkable, these characters don’t hold a candle against any of the others.
- Hookhand (Epic, Guardian, Water)
- Madman Gatton (Epic, Warrior, Fire)
- Anne (Legend, Mage, Fire)
- Thumbelina (Epic, Support, Water)
Keep in mind that we’ve only mentioned a few of the characters in Tales of Grimm as a way to give you an idea of what to look out for, and what to avoid. However, since the game is quite new, the meta is still yet to be established, so these pics will likely shift slightly. Additionally, while we’ve only named our picks for best and worst Tales of Grimm characters, you can check out our dedicated guide on the best characters in the game to learn the reasoning behind our choices, as well as a brief rundown of each of these heroes in our tier list.
