Whiteout Survival is one of the best strategy 4X games on the mobile market. It boasts a winter apocalyptic theme that sees you building a settlement right in the middle of a snow-ridden earth. Inspired to survive, you must encourage other settlers to join you, and create a new prosperous society for humanity. The game regularly gets updated as the developers like to keep things fresh. For the month of May, an early update has been implemented on April 27th that brings a lot of new content and game optimizations/adjustments. Let’s check out all the new stuff!

Snowbusters Event

The Snowbusters event introduces an engaging snow-clearing mission where players operate a snowplow named Buster to clear the City Walkway. With limited fuel, players must gather coal, upgrade fires, and collect bonus items to expedite the process. Stranded survivors can be rescued along the way, but caution is advised as uncleared areas may harbor ambushing beasts. Sudden snowstorms can also impede progress.

How does it work?

  • Fuel Management: Buster’s snowplow operates on limited fuel, requiring strategic planning to maximize efficiency.
  • Coal Collection: Gathering coal is essential for upgrading fires, which in turn accelerates snow-clearing efforts.
  • Rescuing Survivors: Players can assist stranded survivors, adding a humanitarian aspect to the mission.
  • Hazards: Uncleared areas may contain beasts that can ambush Buster, and sudden snowstorms can hinder progress.

Gameplay Optimizations and Adjustments

Much like any other live-service game, Whiteout Survival also needs to be regularly optimized and multiple features need to be adjusted for better streamlined inclusive growth of all players. Some adjustments are also made in mind to enhanced quality-of-life for players accessing them. The latest update also featured mostly game mode optimizatons.
