Army Driver is one of those games that starts out simple—you’re just driving military-style vehicles through a bunch of obstacle-filled courses—but there’s a surprising amount to figure out as you go. The whole thing is broken up into 30 levels, and each one finds new ways to challenge how you handle ramps, rough patches, and all sorts of other roadblock-type stuff. There’s a garage between levels where you can swap out vehicles or upgrade the one you’ve got, so as things get tougher, you’re not stuck with the same old truck.
The different vehicles actually feel a bit different to drive—some are faster, some can take more hits—so there’s a little strategy depending on which level is coming up.
