  • S-Tier Commanders– The great generals mentioned in this tier are some of the strongest ones currently available to be collected. They have a great synergy with their skills and their civilization’s aims.
  • A-Tier Commanders – The great generals mentioned in this tier are extremely powerful but sometimes may not synergize well with their leaders of the civilization due to differences in opinion and expansion. They can be used extensively as well to propagate development.
  • B-Tier Commanders – The great generals mentioned in this tier are tough to use in the constraints of their civilization’s goals. They can prove to be useful later in the late-game stages but are not recommended for new players.

Cleopatra is an A-ranked commander from the Egyptian civilization that excels in Artillery. She is classified as a Defender in-game. Cleopatra’s introduction reads the following – “Also known as Thea Philopator, she ruled as the last pharaoh of Ancient Egypt’s Ptolemaic dynasty. A legendary beauty, with a charm to match, she also possessed a razor-sharp wit, great intelligence, and savvy political experience. She spoke at least nine languages, including Egyptian – unlike other Ptolemaic pharoah’s and was super popular among the native population of the dynasty.” Her 1st ability Pharaoh’s Grace has a 25% chance of dealing 120% of damage as the Artillery’s attack in combat. The exploration part of the skill states that she has a 30% chance to deal 150% of her Force every time you attack a wild animal 3 times. Cleopatra’s 2nd active ability Queen of the Nile River states that she increases the defense of Artillery’s by 20% during the Defense phase. The exploration part of the skill states that she has a 25% chance of granting a buff that decreases a Great Scientist’s HP consumption by 20% when they disable a trap.

Chandragupta is an A-ranked commander from the Indian civilization that excels in Cavalry. He is classified as a Barbarian in-game. Chandragupta’s introduction reads the following – “Founder of the Mauryan dynasty, he was one of India’s greatest conquerors, as well as one of the first Samrats (great emperor). He expanded India’s territory from the Himalayas in the north to Afghanistan in the west and Bengal to the east. Also, skilled at diplomacy and strategy, he maintained good relations with nearby powers and raised the status of the Mauryan empire.” His 1st ability Surprise Attack states that he has a 50% chance of inflicting damage over time equal to 6% of Cavalry’s attack for 2 turns. The exploration part of the skill states that he has a 20% chance to restore HP by 18% each time you hit a wild animal 4 times. His 2nd ability The Arthashastra states that Barbarians get 4% more food when they defeat enemies. The exploration part of the skill states that he has a 10% chance to obtain additional rewards when you defeat a wild animal.

Joan of Arc is an A-ranked commander from the French civilization that excels in Commanding. She is classified as a Defender in-game. Joan of Arc’s introduction reads the following – “Celebrated as a heroine, saint, and savior of France. Born as a simple country peasant, she experienced a heavenly vision, become a leader in France’s 100 year, inspired the war-weary French troops and drive their English rivals away from the continent. Sadly, before the war ended, she was captured, tried by the British for witchcraft, and with political machinations preventing any hope for rescue, pronounced guilty and burned at the stake.” Her 1st ability Joan of Arc increases the artillery’s Attack and Defense by 20% with a 20% chance for 3 turns. Scipio’s introduction reads the following – “A general and consul of Ancient Rome, often regarded as one of Rome’s best strategists. Known for his leadership status, dedication to principles, and relentless courage, he distinguished himself in the Punic Wars. His campaign ranged across the Iberian Peninsula and into Northern Africa, clashing time and again with the brilliant Carthaginian general Hannibal before finally defeating him at the battle of Zama. Saving Rome from the bank of destruction, Scipio secured it’s imperial power for generations.” His 1st ability Strategy Expert has a 75% chance of decreasing the enemy’s evasion by 40% for 2 turns. The exploration part of the skill states that he has a 30% chance to deal 30% of your Force every time you attack a wild animal 4 times. His 2nd ability Noble Family states that he increases the ground force evasion by 20% when fighting against Barbarians. The exploration part of the skill states that when a great general other than the one with this skill wins the battle, there is a 25% chance that they will use 20% of their own HP to heal the Great general who has this skill.

Leonidas’s introduction reads the following – “The famous king of Sparta led 300 of his city’s finest soldiers, and a few thousand Auxilliaries, against a huge Persian army in the Battle of Thermopylae. With neither the chance nor the desire to retreat, his forces held against the Persians until they were killed to the last man. Benjamin Franklin’s introduction reads the following – “An American politician, known as one of the Founding fathers. A self-made man who started out as a printer, his career took many turns, as he became a diplomat, scientist, inventor, philanthropist and philosopher. He contributed to both America’s Declaration of Independence and its constitution. As a great inventor, he invented lightning rods, the glass harmonica, bifocal glasses, and more. He is currently pictured on the 100-dollar US bill.” His 1st ability Lightning Rod Maker has a 60% chance to remove 7 white blocks when you create an Invention. The exploration part of the skill states that he has a 30% chance to increase progress by 150% of your knowledge when you disable a Physical trap. His 2nd ability Self-Made states that he increases collecting speed by 20% when collecting resources. Decreases the quantity of missions if there is only 1 mission. The exploration part of the skill states that he has a 40% chance to restore HP by 40% when you discover a music-related Great work. Mozart’s 2nd skill Requiem states that he increases the Ground attack by 5%. The exploration part of the skill states that he has a 25% chance to decrease the damage the Great General receives by 20% when this great general starts a battle.

The exploration part of the skill states that she has a 40% chance to restore Hp by 25% when you discover a Literature-related great work. Homer’s 2nd active ability Odyssey states that he has a 50% chance to increase the food amount earned by 20% when you plunder a City-State. The exploration part of the skill states that he decreases HP consumption by 20% whenever you discover a Literature-related Great work.
