Battle Through the Heavens is a brand-new Idle role-playing game (RPG) based in the early settlements of Eastern Asia. Harness the power of Soul and Qi to decimate any evildoers in your way. Although the game is relatively easy to learn, it’s difficult to streamline your progression. We will be covering all the basic gameplay elements and combat mechanics to ease new player’s settling down in the game. Keep in mind, you can get some juicy freebies by simply creating an account as part of the global launch campaign!

Understanding the Combat Mechanics of Battle Through the Heavens

Combat is quite simple in Battle Through the Heavens. It is loosely an Idle game, which means the majority of the processes are automated and require little to no manual intervention. You are tasked with creating a formation consisting of only your main hero. You can also assign active and passive skills to the hero and help them increase their damage, increase sustain, or increase vitality. All abilities can be levelled up to increase their potency. The entire combat scenario is automated. You can also unlock 2X battle speed after your account reaches Level 7.

In combat, you will only see the portrait of your hero standing idly, without any animations. The enemy and your character move automatically, as well as attack automatically. Further, even the skills will be used automatically whenever they are ready and out of cooldown. Naturally, this may feel a bit lacklustre, or it did for us at least.

Quests and Rewards

As you start your account progression, the game does throw a bit of handy tutorial quests at you. These are part of the main story mode and can be accessed via the “Explore” system. Ensure that you complete them adequately and receive the respective rewards. The quests are simple and only take 30 seconds to complete at max. The rewards, on the other hand, are quite juicy. They will help you in increasing your character level, soul level, and qi level. All of these metrics are important as they directly increase your overall Combat Power (CP).

Choosing a Path

As you start your journey, you will be given a choice that will entail your progression path. This comes in 2 forms – Spirit or Dawki. These are strategic choices that you will need to make. Consider it like a choice for an MMO game, where you need to be either a marksman, tank, or wizard. While both the paths culminate in the same direction, they both exude different playstyles. The Spirits tend to be more focused towards healing, crowd-controlling, and AOE-damage. The Dawki are more brutal and sturdier in nature, providing you strength and resilience.

The best part about Battle Through the Heavens is that you can eventually choose both Spirit and Dawki after completing a specific quest later down the questline.

Emblems

You can improve your exotic weapons’ passive effects by using the Emblem System. You’ll need specialized resources, which you can buy or find via treasure hunts, to accomplish this. Focus on improving weapons that have advantageous side effects.

Soul Ascension

You can acquire new effects and enhance your exotic weapons using the Soul Ascension System. You can spend gems, buy packs, or explore the Sect Forbidden Area to obtain the required resources. Make every effort to obtain the greatest amount of items from the Forbidden Area.

Understanding the Basic Currencies

If you’re going to be playing Battle Through the Heavens for a long time, it’s crucial to learn more about the different currencies that are at play. While there are many currencies that exist, we will only be talking about the main currencies that are at use in multiple systems throughout the game:

Coin: This is the most basic currency of Battle Through the Heavens. It is widely available in abundance and can be obtained via quests, events, idle rewards, main story rewards, redeem codes, and more. Coins are used to upgrade Qi, Soul, Refine equipment, and more.

Jade: Jade is the premium currency of Battle Through the Heavens. It is scarcely available and should be used judiciously. Jade is obtained via quests, redeem codes, events, and more. Jade is used specifically to summon new equipment and/or purchase in-game packs containing cosmetic upgrades.

It’s recommended to play Battle Through the Heavens on a PC using BlueStacks with a keyboard and mouse for a 60 FPS Full HD lag-free experience on a bigger screen.
