The position tells you where they will be placed during battle. They can either be at the back line, middle line, or front line. The main hero stat tells you what the hero’s default highest stat is. A hero has eight stats, and these are:

  • Intelligence
  • Agility
  • Strength
  • Health
  • Physical Attack
  • Magic Attack
  • Armor
  • Magic Defense

The role gives you an idea on the combat capabilities of the hero and how they should be used. There are several roles in Hero Wars – Fantasy Battles, and these are: Healer, Tank, Warrior, Marksman, Support, Control, and Mage. Note that a hero can have more than one role. Lastly, the faction tells you which faction they belong to.

Each hero has a unique set of skills composed of attacks or boosts that help in defeating enemies. When you summon a hero, the first out of four skills in their set is unlocked. You will need to unlock the other three by ranking them up to green rank, blue rank, and violet rank in that order. Heroes can be upgraded by levelling up and eventually you can promote them to these higher ranks once their level is high enough and you have collected enough of their soul stones.

In each stage, you can select up to five heroes to deploy. The objective is to clear all three waves of enemies without all heroes dying. All basic attacks are done automatically, and each successful attack fills up a hero’s skill meter. Once full, they can use their skill and unleash a powerful attack on enemies or boost to other heroes. The activation of their skill can be manually or automatically activated.
