Despite being quite a derivative title in the mobile MMORPG genre, the new Lost Sanctuary: Eternal Origin is quite unique in the fact that it offers seven different and interesting classes, effectively giving a little something to all types of users. For those who are looking to deal damage; support their allies; absorb tons of damage, or a combination of these elements, this game has a lot of variety in the classes that it offers.
The problem with having lots of classes, however, is that since users are likely going to spend countless hours grinding and farming with their characters, choosing the right class for each person’s play style is important to save both time and effort. After all, going with the wrong class for your preferences might give you a negative impression about the game, and even cause you to drop it entirely if you don’t like it. Ascalon

The standard cookie cutter sword wielding class in any MMO, with a balanced offering between attack and defense, though leaning more towards the latter. This class can easily act as the tank of the group, mostly thanks to its high HP and excellent defense stat, which is further complemented by his outstanding CC, allowing him to keep the enemy under control while the rest of the team nukes them down with their DPS. However, the Ascalon is also great for a solo character, since they can deal decent damage both in single target as well as in AoE.
With high defenses comes ease of use, as players can make more mistakes without really suffering from them. This makes the Ascalon an ideal choice for newcomers.
Monk

This ferocious warrior is a master of martial arts and has a focus on attacks that can deal damage to single targets. He can wield holy powers to inflict damage over time on enemies, and also to nuke bosses and other tough opponents with highly damaging skills. However, unlike the Ascalon, he’s more focused on single targets rather than fighting groups, though he’s still tough enough to engage against large crowds with relative ease.
Nevertheless, the Monk has a very similar play style to the Ascalon, so if you like beefy characters that deal raw damage with their skills, and that have high HP and defenses, then these two might be up your alley.
Sibyl

A nimble chakram-wielding fighter that trades in defense for ultimate offense, being one of the strongest classes in the game, at least in terms of damage output. However, this damage comes at the expense of her survivability, as Sibyl relies on her fast moves to constantly stay one step ahead of the enemy, which also makes her quite difficult to use correctly. And while you’ll have no troubles when dealing with the weaker enemies that might cross your path, you will need to focus when fighting against bosses, so that you can defeat them before they manage to strike you down.
Sibyl is great for players who enjoy a faster play style, though the class definitely has a bit of a learning curve.
Kali

Just like Sibyl, Kali is all about dealing damage while being relatively squishy, compared to other tankier classes. However, what she lacks in defenses, she more than makes up for in range, as she can easily pelt her foes with projectiles from long distances. And as long as she stays away, then Kali will be able to easily deal with any enemy without suffering a single scratch.
Kali is by far one of the best classes for farming in this game. However, just like with Sibyl, you’ll need to actually pay attention during boss fights, otherwise you might find yourself on the wrong end of a sword.
Great Sage

- Control: 3*

Modeled after the great Sun Wukong, the Monkey King, the Great Sage is one of the more balanced options in the game, combining the highest DPS and range, with excellent defenses and CC potential. Additionally, he’s also pretty easy to use, which makes him ideal for beginners to Lost Sanctuary. And in case that wasn’t enough, he looks awesome in combat, which as we all know, is always the goal in games like these.
His CC is a bit lacking, though his positives far outweigh the negatives.
Nuwa
- DPS: 5*
- Range: 3*
- DEF: 4*
- Operate: 4*
- Control: 1*
- SPD: 5*
The beast-like Nuwa class plays as a nimble caster with the best damage potential in the game, but also being just as fragile as the other DPS classes. This is combined with her poor CC, which makes her into a veritable glass cannon class, ideal only for the players who enjoy challenging themselves. Luckily, those who manage to master her skill set can pull off feats that other classes could only dream of, such as mowing down tougher bosses and enemies with almost no effort.
Due to her shortcomings, Nuwa shines brightest in group settings, though she’s more than capable of holding her own in any other context.
Ruby

- DEF: 4*
- Operate: 4*
- Control: 2*
- SPD: 5*
Last but not least, Ruby is yet another DPS class, but this time with a very decent offering in both offense and defense. This combination of features makes her one of the best pure DPS classes for newcomers, as she has the means to both whittle down most enemies with her attacks, as well as stay safe through the toughest situations.
