Mafia Mobile is a brand-new strategy game themed around Mafia culture. It is released globally, and gives players a chance to build their very own virtual gang and empire. Players who have played games like GTA online will find a similar experience as it shares many features with the game, on top of more exciting stuff like managing economy, cultivating resources, and training reputable Capos. In this guide, we will be diving deeper into the game’s core mechanics and sharing some tips on how new players can progress efficiently in the long run.

Understanding the Core Gameplay Mechanics of Mafia Mobile

In Mafia Mobile, players start out as a betrayed heir to a broken mafia family. Filled with the idea of revenge and succession, you must climb your rankings from a meagre club manager to a full-blown gang leader that commands an entire city. During your journey, you will find many formidable allies and enemies that need to be dealt with tact and effective communication. Players will also be managing several buildings, from the point of building them to upgrading and managing them. City-building mechanics are nothing new in mobile games, but IGG always likes to take it to the next level, and Mafia Mobile is no exception.

There are several exciting PvE and PvP game modes in Mafia Mobile that unlocks gradually as you expand your city and unlock/upgrade new buildings. Each building in the game has its own purpose, and players should read up on more about them. Upgrading building requires core resources that can be harvested via participating in main story missions, events, redeem codes, and more. All in all, the game values your time, and doesn’t force meaningless combat and grinding. New players coming to the game should simply wait and show discipline as the early game can be quite tiring since you will be constantly waiting for buildings to upgrade.

Understanding the Combat Mechanics of Mafia Mobile

The combat mechanics of Mafia Mobile share similarity with many modern Idle/AFK games. Players need to build a team of 5 heroes, amicably called as “Capos” in the official in-game terminology. Capos are specialized characters that have access to unique active and passive abilities. Each capo has their own advantages and disadvantages. The combat happens in an automated way, where the player has little to no manual control over their characters. You can see your own heroes and their HP in green bars on top of them, while the enemy heroes and their HP will appear in red bars on top of them.

Whenever your heroes defeat an enemy or deal damage, they will gain some energy. This energy is represented by the yellow-colored bar under their HP bars. When this bar goes full, their portrait will light up and flash, indicating that the capo’s ultimate skill can be used. Players can choose to either manually tap on it to target the skill, or use the game’s auto-battle feature for the AI (Artificial Intelligence) to do it for you. The game also has many QOL features for combat such as 3x battle speed and skip battles.

Embark on Chapter Missions and Tasks in Mafia Mobile

The best advice we can impart to any budding newcomer in Mafia Mobile is to simply focus all your energy and time towards completing the chapter quests. These are like the main quests you see in other similar games wherein players need to complete a list of missions given in a chapter-wise formation. Each chapter completion happens when you clear all the subsequent quests associated with it. Clearing out a chapter quest rewards you with generous amounts of premium currency, speed-ups, bills, and even capo fragments sometimes.

The Gacha System of Mafia Mobile

For those unaware, Mafia Mobile also harbors a gacha system via which players can recruit new capo’s, the collectible characters of the game. This system unlocks fairly early on when you complete the tutorial and the building is named as “Capo’s Club”. Summoning on the banners can grant players complete Capo’s, capo fragments, items, and exp materials. Players can summon on 2 different types of banners, each further using different summoning currencies. The banners are as follows:

  • Advanced Heist – Players get 1 free advanced heist chances on a daily basis. To summon more, you will need an Advanced heist voucher that will summon 10 times at once.

Players can enjoy playing Mafia Mobile on a bigger screen of their PC or Laptop via BlueStacks along with your keyboard and mouse.
