Resonance Solstice Beginner's Guide – Master Trading, Combat, and Crew Management

Resonance Solstice is a brand-new train simulator RPG that combines strategic combat mechanics with in-depth trading mechanics. In this game, combat is not at the heart of every situation. Rather, you will be focusing more on making profits via engaging in multiple activities. Featuring a powerful animated storyline that gets influenced by your decisions, Resonance Solstice aims to give a narrative driven gameplay. This beginner-oriented guide sheds light on the different trading, combat, and crew management mechanics as well as offers tips for new players to navigate through this apocalyptic world.
Understand the Gameplay Setting and Loop of Resonance Solstice
In Resonance Solstice, the core gameplay loop revolves around you travelling in a train called Eternal. This train is your go-to travelling companion that takes you from station to station. The apocalyptic world of the game really starts showing when you travel in the train, immersing you in the terror that has grasped the world. Burned down cities, old ruins, and infected phantasms can be seen lurking around the city during this journey. Occasionally, you will also find helpful carts and resources that you need to tap on to claim instantly.

Trading Process in Resonance Solstice
In Resonance Solstice, the trading practices are very important to learn and master if you want to have a bustling economy. The game features multiple cities, with each city further having their own market. The goal of every player should be to buy low and sell high for maximum profits. Let’s first understand the selling mechanics. Simply go to the Sell tab in the trading marketplace. You can see which items are marked by the star on the right-hand side, and these indicate that they are a specialty (unique) for that city.
You can fetch higher prices for these items. If you are confused, simply select All from the top right-hand side of your bag. This will give you an estimated price based on the average price of them on the marketplace. You can also choose to bargain with the seller for extra income yield.

Some sellers are lenient, and you can even bargain multiple times before finally selling. This same mechanic also applies when buying items. As you purchase and sell more items, your reputation as a trader will increase. When this happens, so will your bargaining opportunities.
Coming to the buying mechanics of Resonance Solstice, they are much more complex. As a core goal, you should always try to buy at lower prices than the market demands. To do so, you can look for the same item on different marketplaces till you get the best deal. The market showcases item prices on 3 colors:

- Grey color indicates that the item is selling at the normal price.
 - Green color indicates that the item is available at a higher price than normal.
 - Red color indicates that the item is available at a lower price than normal.

Further, you can also observe some other trends for items while buying, such as:
- Green arrow denotes that the item is going on an upward streak and will likely fetch more price in the future.
 - Red arrow denotes that the item is going on a downward streak and will likely fetch lesser price in the future.

Rest Area
The rest area is available in the city. Here, players can come to relax and have some drinks on the house. You will be greeted by the joyful but creepy waitress Arin that serves a special drink once a day that increases your business luck by a certain margin. This grants you more opportunities to bargain when buying or selling items in the marketplace. You can also spend your credits in the shop that offers lucrative items such as laplace crystals, and more.

Master the Card-stylized Combat of Resonance Solstice
The combat experience in Resonance Solstice is limited to certain main story stages, train encounters, and Eviction game mode. The eviction game mode sees you fighting different enemies that offer lucrative drops which are crucial to hero development. The combat is straight-forward. Firstly, you will need to build a team of 5 heroes, out of which 1 hero needs to be assigned as the leader. Each hero in Resonance Solstice is unique in terms of rarity, element, and type. For example, the hero Levia is a SR Control type hero from the reverb element.

Each hero has access to unique active ability cards that can be used within the combat scenarios. At the top of each hero, you can see their health in a green colored bar. Each ability card has different effects, and can be used after consuming a certain amount of energy. The energy can be seen at the bottom, and it recharges automatically over time. Players can discard cards on their hand to gain momentum for using their ultimate abilities. The ultimate ability of the leader will only be used.
Players can enjoy playing Resonance Solstice on a bigger screen of their PC or Laptop via BlueStacks along with your keyboard and mouse.
