As a new player, having a clear & conscious understanding of what each mechanic in the game does can be super beneficial when it comes to increasing efficiency. Let’s get right to the guide!

Understanding the Gameplay Mechanics

Throne of Three Kingdoms is a city-builder RPG that also has sub-genres of turn-based and Gacha blended into it. Player can experience an intuitive kingdom building experience, starting fresh with a Level 1 Palace on their journey. Upgrading your Palace and keeping up with creating & levelling other buildings is going to be your main aim as a new player. Naturally, you will need a lot of time & resources to do the following. The former is understandable as it is a live-service game, and should be played like a marathon, not a sprint. For the latter, resources are easily generated over time or by fighting vicious battles against opponents in the campaign mode.

The core combat experience is quite fun & exhilarating. The battles happen in a turn-based order, with each side’s characters getting 1 turn per round. Players can view the turn-order on the battle screen. Upon each turn, the heroes will generate skill bar, allowing them to use an ultimate ability when the bar is full. The portrait of the hero will glow when this happens. Simply click on it to unleash a powerful skill. Sometimes, you will be required to fight waves of enemies, each with their own set of formidable enemies. Triggering ultimate abilities and setting up your team formation before the match starts are going to be the only things you will be in control of. The rest of the gameplay is automated, with some QOL features such as 2X Battle speed, and Auto Mode also available.
