The popular battle royale game Garena Free Fire recently released a tweet announcing the new Stonescape map along with the Bomb Squad Cup. This new map is really small compared to other Free Fire maps as it was developed only for the Bomb Squad game mode.

That means less area, lots of covers and sneaky paths for the teams to use, just like in CSGO.

Garena Free Fire: New Stonescape Map & The Bomb Squad Cup

The Bomb Squad mode was originally available in the game through the custom room on the Bermuda map. Now it has been removed from the custom rooms and added exclusively to the new Stonescape map.

The Bomb Squad Mode

Almost everyone who plays multiplayer FPS games knows what the Bomb Squad mode is.

In the Free Fire Bomb Squad mode, players are split into teams of four with two areas A & B, where they can plant the bomb. Teams exchange turns to defend or defuse the bomb before the time runs out, that is 2 mins. Players can win by either defusing the bomb or eliminating the opposing team before they can plant it.

Players also pick up cash from their kills during each round which can be used to buy items like guns, explosives and the like before the next round starts. The rounds go on until a team secures 5 wins and achieves victory “Booyah”.

By the looks of it, the Stonescape map is based on a construction/digging site featuring trucks, pipes, cranes, containers and large unfinished buildings. This provides tons of cover in high & low places, making it easy for players to navigate through the map undetected for the most part.

You can check this twitter trailer for the Stonescape map if you need a better picture.

The Free Fire Bomb Squad Cup

The registrations for Bomb Squad Cup started on January 14 for 24 hrs with no rank requirements. After which, the matchmaking and battling section began on January 15 from 10:00 to 23:00. The first section of the cup will last for 3 days, from January 15 to 17; then the winning team moves on to the next stage.

There are three stages for players to overcome if they want to win the cup, the Quarter-final, Semi-final, and Final. The Bomb Squad cup rewards include Gold Royale voucher, Diamond Royale voucher, Craftland custom room card, Gold coins, and Universal fragments; there are also participation rewards for teams that did well.
