New World Boss “Ptakhur” Concept Art and Other Leaks

Post the Version 4.0 release, travellers saw the release of Fontaine and its own seasonal Archon quests. Usually, when a region’s Archon Quests come to an end, the final boss is featured. It seems that the history is repeating with Fontaine as well since data mining credible source Videreleaks has released a new leak of concept art that resembles a World Boss. Titled “Ptakhur”, the new Weekly Boss is expected to be released with Version 4.2, along with massive other improvements. 

Players have also pointed out that the concept art looks more related to the Abyss rather than the Weekly Boss of Fontaine. This is also because of the design of the creature, one that symbolizes a large-scale Abyss fight in a different environment altogether. One more theory suggests that the Quantum elemental tattoo present on the left-hand side of the concept art might leak a future collaboration with miHoYo’s popular sister turn-based RPG, Honkai: Star Rail. Amid the confusion, no real conclusion can be found until miHoYo officially releases the information by themselves. The developers have been quite strict with their no-leak policies and are even known to punish leakers legally.

Some players in the comments also point out to the possibility of Ptakhur being an enemy instead of a full-fledged boss fight. It’s still hard to agree upon, but the source leaker Videreleaks also suspects the new Weekly Boss to be Ptakhur, as he will be joining the crew along with Dvalin, Apep, and others.
