The developers have released patch notes about the new update for Epic Seven that is supposed to release for all players on 1/21. We have brought to you a preview of the same. In this, you will find the targets for this balance adjustment, what affect will it get and by how much. 

Targets for Balance Adjustment

According to the developer notes, this update will mainly have an effect on nine heroes and one artifact. The heroes that are affected are mentioned below along with their grades-

• 5★ Moonlight- Briar Witch Iseria, Specimen Sez
• 5★ Covenant- Kawerik, Haste, Yuna
• 4★ Moonlight- Free Spirit Tieria
• 4★ Covenant- Silk, Khawazu
• 3★ Moonlight- Captain Rikoris

As for the artifact, there is only one that is a part of the list-

• 4★- Flower Shower

Fully enhanced characters will determine the probability and number of turns. Unless it has been mentioned, the skill cooldown will remain the same. The actual update might have different skill descriptions than the ones stated in this preview.

5★ Moonlight

Briar Witch Iseria

• Witch’s curse: This ability has received a buff that it grants Immortality to the hero for one turn upon receiving lethal damage. Immortality effect can only be activated once every five turns.
• Cursed Thorn: When activated, this ability will help the hero to attack all enemies with a cursed thornbush, dispelling all buffs, with a 75% (max 100%) chance to make them unable to be buffed for two turns.
• Cursed Thorn (Awakened): With this ability, the hero attacks all enemies with a cursed thornbush, dispelling all buffs, with a 75% (max 100%) chance each to decrease Attack and make them unable to be buffed for two turns.

  

Specimen Sez

• Dreamy Iron Mace: When this ability is used, the hero attacks with an iron mace, with a 50% chance to stun for one turn. When the enemy has been stunned successfully, it increases Combat Readiness of the caster by 25%.
• Evil Claws: Upon activation, this ability will grant the hero the power to attack all enemies with evil claws, with a 60% chance to stun for 1 turn. The damage has also been buffed for this attack.
• Evil Claws (Awakened): When used, this ability will help the hero to attack all enemies with evil claws, with a 60% chance to stun for 1 turn, before increasing Combat Readiness of the caster by 50%. This ability has received a damage buff too.
• Light Storm: The hero can use this ability to attack with a light storm, inflicting extinction and resetting cooldown for this skill when the enemy is defeated. Penetrates Defense by 30%, or by 100% when the enemy is stunned. If this skill is available, when an ally except for the caster is attacked, has a 20% chance to counterattack.

5★ Covenant

Kawerik

• Dimensional Corridor: With the use of this ability, the hero will attack the enemy in a dimensional corridor, with a 75% (max 100%) chance each to dispel two buffs before increasing skill cooldowns by 1 turn twice. Damage dealt increases proportionally to the target’s Speed.
• Dimensional Corridor (Awakened): Similar to the basic ability, this will make the hero attack the enemy in a dimensional corridor, with a 75% (max 100%) chance each to dispel two buffs before increasing skill cooldowns by 1 turn twice. However, it will also increase the Speed of the caster for 2 turns. Damage dealt increases proportionally to the target’s Speed.
• Dimensional Explosion: When this ability is used, the hero will attack all enemies with an explosion, silencing for 1 turn, before granting stealth to the caster for 2 turns. Penetrates Defense by 30%. Damage dealt increases proportional to the caster’s Speed.

Haste

• Envoy’s Scythe: The use of this ability grants the hero the power to attack with an enormous scythe, with a 60% (max 70%) chance to inflict bleeding for 2 turns. Steals one buff if the target is an Earth elemental Hero.
• Blood Rend: This ability helps the hero to attack the enemy with a scythe and recovers the Health of all allies. Amount recovered increases proportionally to damage dealt. Conditional increase to the amount recovered is now applied by default.
• Blood Rend (Awakened): Unlike the base move, this ability will attack the enemy with a scythe, making them unhealable and inflicting vampiric touch for 2 turns, and recovers the Health of all allies. Amount recovered increases proportional to damage dealt. Conditional increase to the amount recovered is now applied by default.
• Vampiric Seal: Upon use, this ability grants the hero the power to attack all enemies with Envoy’s Scythe, with an 85% (max 100%) chance each to inflict three bleeding effects for 2 turns. When there are three or fewer enemies, damage dealt increases with fewer enemies. Detonates any bleeding effects inflicted on Earth elemental targets at the top of the turn.

Yuna

• Upgrade: Now you will have to acquire 3 Focus. When done, this ability buffs all allies with a drone and increases Attack for 2 turns.
• Upgrade (Awakened): For this ability, you will have to acquire 3 Focus. When done, it buffs all allies with a drone and increases Attack and Speed for 2 turns.
• Meteor Cannon: The caster will consume 5 Focus. When this ability is used, the hero will attack all enemies with a cannon. A successful attack always leads to a critical hit. When there are three or fewer enemies, damage dealt increases with fewer enemies. Grants an extra turn to the caster.

4★ Moonlight

Free Spirit Tieria

• Energy Wave (Awakened): When this ability is used, the hero releases condensed energy at all enemies, recovering Health of the caster proportional to damage dealt. Resets this skill’s cooldown when an enemy is defeated.

4★ Covenant

Silk

• Concentration: With the use of this ability, the caster gains 1 Focus at the start of the turn, and consumes 1 Focus when attacked, increasing Combat Readiness by 15%. When the caster’s stacked Focus is 2 or more, Single Shot is enhanced into Automatic Fire, increasing damage dealt.
• Storm Arrow/Storm Arrow (Awakened): The damage dealt from this ability has been buffed.

Khawazu

• Flame Strike: This ability helps the user to attack the enemy with a ball of flame, with a 25% (max 50%) chance to decrease Defense for 2 turns. After attacking, features a 35% chance to activate Burning Vitality.
• Burning Vitality: When activated, this ability increases Combat Readiness of the caster by 20%.
• Soulburn (20): The caster will get a 100% chance to decrease Defense.
• Composure: When the caster is debuffed after being attacked, dispels all debuffs and increases Attack of the caster for 2 turns. Can only be activated once every 3 turns (max 2 turns).

3★ Moonlight

Captain Rekoris

• Supreme Spear: When this ability is used, it makes the hero attack all enemies with spear art, with a 75% (max 100%) chance to dispel one buff from the target, before a 75% chance to limit for two turns. Has a 75% chance to stun the enemy with the very best Combat Readiness for 1 turn no matter whether the attack hits, and recovers the caster’s Health. Amount recovered increases proportional to the caster’s max Health.

4★ Artifact

Flower Shower

• Option: When this artifact is activated, it increases the Effectiveness of the user by 7% (max 14%). When an enemy is defeated, it increases the Attack of the caster for 2 turns.
