So, I’m Fireman: Rescue Simulator has this whole vibe where you’re actually behind the wheel of a fire truck (or ladder truck, or whatever crazy vehicle the level calls for) and dashing through a city that feels just busy enough, trying to get to fires before things go south. The city itself is pretty open, so there’s a lot of back-and-forth as different emergencies pop up—some days it’ll be a high-rise completely lit up, other times you’re just putting out a car that caught fire by the roadside. Each call is a little different, and there are way more vehicle options than you’d expect in a mobile game: everything from pumpers and tankers, to helicopters that you unlock as you move up in rank. It’s kind of cool seeing your rescue station get better as you progress; you actually get to upgrade stuff and unlock fancier rigs, and there’s a nice feeling of moving from rookie to someone in charge. The rescue missions switch things up too, with stuff like power plant puzzles or having to figure out how to save people stuck on upper floors before the timers run down.
On PC with BlueStacks, the controls are smoother and it’s just easier to zip around the map or switch vehicles when things get hectic. The emergency missions can be sort of stressful, but in a good way—it’s got those moments where you’re rushing to the scene and have to actually think about which truck or tool you’ll need for the job. There’s a mix of fast driving, little puzzle-solving bits, and enough variety that it doesn’t feel repetitive. Some cosmetic stuff and upgrades are locked behind real money, but there’s plenty you can do without spending anything. If someone’s into the whole emergency services thing, or just likes games where you bounce between driving and quick problem-solving, there’s a lot to enjoy here, especially playing on a bigger screen.
