Upgrade your experience. Try Ostara Tarot, the fantastic Entertainment app from The Fool’s Dog, from the comfort of your laptop, PC, or Mac, only on BlueStacks.
Ostara Tarot feels like a spring morning turned into cards. It is based on Rider-Waite, but the art goes off in a surreal, storybook direction that still makes sense for readings. Four artists from the Pacific Northwest each handled a suit, plus some of the Majors, so every suit has its own look while the whole deck still matches. Expect animal guides, mythic figures, and nature scenes that slide from gentle to strange in a good way. The images are detailed and colorful, and zooming in is worth it. On a PC through BlueStacks, the full screen makes the tiny symbols and textures easier to catch, which actually helps when interpreting.
The app itself gets out of the way. It is simple to shuffle, cut, and draw, with smooth little animations that feel tactile without being silly. There are 12 spreads ready to go, and a Free Form mode if someone wants to place cards wherever and build a layout. Reversals can be toggled on or off, and there is a Major Arcana only option for quick pulls. A built-in journal saves readings and notes, which is handy for tracking patterns. Card meanings can be customized, reading cloths can be swapped, and there are optional voice prompts if eyes are off the screen. Lots of settings to tune, nothing confusing. It runs calmly, and on a bigger display with BlueStacks, the art and the text both read clean and clear.
