What’s better than using GitJournal by GitJournal? Well, try it on a big screen, on your PC or Mac, with BlueStacks to see the difference.

About the App

Ever wish you could keep all your notes organized, safe, and right where you want them—without having to worry about losing them or dealing with annoying ads? GitJournal might be just what you need. It’s built for folks who care about privacy, portability, and a smooth note-taking experience. Whether you’re jotting down ideas, setting up a daily journal, or coordinating blog drafts, GitJournal keeps your writing handy, organized, and synced to your favorite Git service.

App Features

  • Works Offline
No internet? No problem! All your notes are still available when you’re offline—whether you’re on a plane or stuck in a dead zone.

  • No Account Hassle
Skip the sign-ups. You don’t have to create an account to start using GitJournal, so you can dive into note-taking right away.

  • Pick Where Your Notes Live
You get to choose your own Git repo—be it GitHub, GitLab, Gitea, Gogs, or something custom. GitJournal stores your entries in formats like Markdown or plain text, so moving and syncing your notes is super flexible.

  • Sort Everything with Folders
Keep things tidy by categorizing notes in folders. This makes finding old ideas or tracking projects way easier.

  • Friendly with Open Source & Git Tools
The whole app is open source, and it’s designed to work well with a bunch of other Git-powered tools. Perfect if you like tweaking or connecting your own workflows.

  • Ideal for Static Site Generators
Planning to manage a Hugo, Jekyll, or Gatsby site? GitJournal is great for handling drafts and content, since notes stay in a standard format.

  • No Distractions, No Ads
The interface is clean and focused, so you can just write—without pop-ups or banners getting in the way.

  • Stay in Control
Your notes are always yours. Since everything’s synced through your Git backend, there’s no need for awkward import/export hassles.

You can even check it out on BlueStacks if you like working from your laptop.
