Call of Dragons Artifacts Guide - Everything You Need to Know About the Artifact System

Obtaining New Artifacts

Just like with the heroes in Call of Dragons, Artifacts are obtained through similar means, which is from the Tavern gacha system. In other words, while heroes are obtained by opening chests in the Tavern, Artifacts are instead received from using Keys to roll for them in a separate menu of the Tavern.

With every roll in the Artifact Draw you have a chance of receiving one of these powerful items. However, when it comes to actually getting any worthwhile Artifacts, the odds are actually really low, with only a 1.51% chance and a 11.4% chance of getting Legendary and Epic Artifacts, respectively. Meanwhile, the weaker Elite Artifacts have a 23.9% chance of resulting from the gacha, with the weakest Advanced Artifacts having the highest odds corresponding to a whopping 63% per pull.

Players have access to a single free pull per day, while every subsequent pull will cost a Universal Artifact Key, which goes for 600 gems in the shop. Additionally, every 10 pulls will guarantee that you receive a Legendary or Epic Artifact on the next pull, while every 90 pulls guarantee the next item to be a Legendary Artifact.

Artifact Effects

Merely equipping an Artifact to one of your heroes will instantly grant them—and all the troops under their command—considerable bonuses to their stats. However, each Artifact also has an active effect that can be used at any moment in combat. These special skills don’t require any resources, unlike the hero’s Rage skills, and simply go into cooldown when used. In this sense, it’s possible to use these Artifacts multiple times per battle if it extends enough.

While you won’t have much variety at the beginning, you’ll want to start considering the stat bonuses of the Artifacts in question whenever you’re choosing to equip it on a hero, as these bonuses can benefit some characters more than others.

Upgrading Artifacts

While Artifacts are pretty good right out of the box, you can upgrade them to enhance their stats and effects.

Upgrading an Artifact’s star rating requires an item called “Arcane Dust”, which you can receive from many different sources. This resource is quite common and you’ll come across it very often during your time playing Call of Dragons. On the other hand, upgrading an Artifact’s skill requires special emblems that you can obtain from events and other special activities, and sometimes from your pulls in the Tavern. These emblems are much rarer than Arcane Dust, which makes upgrading an item’s skill quite difficult.

Artifacts are a simple but powerful addition to your power in Call of Dragons. And with this guide, you should know enough to start your journey on the right track!
