First thing first, due to the nature of the game, there is little to no manual control you have during combat sequences. Only you can control how your cat performs by keeping a check on their equipment, resources, and buffs. We have made sure that all of the article is presented in a legible fashion using layman terms for beginners. Let’s check out all the tips and tricks to get your started in Cat Hero: Idle RPG. 

Tips #1. Get Stronger the Right Way

In Cat Hero: Idle RPG, getting stronger should be your priority at any given point of time. There are multiple ways to get stronger in the game, with the primary one being “Research”. You can see this option on the leftmost side of the UI. You would require the currency called “Fish Coins” in order to invest into research purposes that can yield stronger new weapons or upgrade your existing ones. Alternatively, you can also train your cat in different areas to maximize their stats and growth. You would require Gold in order to train your Cat and increase their stats. The stats can vary from simple attack damage, all the way to increasing your base HP. 

Tip #2. Upgrading Cannons 

Like mentioned before, your best bet to win more fights is to constantly upgrade your Cat and its other requirements. Go to the Hero tab present on the right-hand side of the menu, and you can find the Cannon tab there. This is the area where you can manage your Cat’s equipped weapon. The Cannon can be upgraded in multiple ways. The best way to make sure your Cannon is at the highest power level is to summon the highest rarity one from the summoning system. Then, you need to summon duplicate copies of the same Cannon in order to break through the weapon and increase its stats further. 

Tip #3. Upgrading Cat Skills

Much like you upgrade your Cat’s weapons, you can also upgrade their skills so that they can perform much better in fights. Each Cat can be equipped with different skills of differing rarity, adding onto their collectability ratios. Naturally, the higher the rarity of the skill, the stronger and more valuable they are. You can acquire more Cat skills through summoning for them in the gacha system. Each skill triggers automatically at a specific interval of time. Hence, players need not worry about triggering them manually. Initially, your Cat will only be allowed to have 1 skill slot but as you progress in levels, then a total of 6 skill slots will be made available. 

Tip #4. Companions are your Comrades!

Companions (List of Companions and Abilities) are going to be those helpful comrades in battles that assist you in dealing more damage, surviving incoming damage, or simply putting on helpful buffs on you! They are usually flying critters and possess a different set of skills than the Cat hero itself. Companions need 2 requirements to be used – MP and Companion Slots. Each companion that you have equipped will take up a companion slot along with some MP bar from your Cat Hero. 

You need to get quite lucky in order to summon the best companions in the game. However, you need to strategize effectively at the same time as there are only a handful of companion slots available. By actively playing the game, you can quickly unlock companion slots. On the other hand, the Cat Hero’s MP is increased through research, so it might take some time before you can even invest your Fish Coins into your MP bar.

Tip #5. Some Skins are a Godsend for Players!

While Cat Hero: Idle RPG remains to be a free-to-play game, it does incorporate some benefits for players who can afford to step in and buy skins for their Cat Hero. Skins are cosmetic items but some top-tier skins do provide an additional increase in certain stats or directly increase your Idle/offline earnings. Make sure to have the right skin equipped at the right time, as you can get a ton of bonuses by doing nothing but changing your appearance.
