The Combat Mechanics of Catch & Build: Land of Pals Explained
In Catch & Build: Land of Pals, the combat is completely automated with players having little to no control over their deployed characters. You are required to form a team of up to 5 different Pals in a team. Keep in mind, you cannot use duplicate Pals in the same team. Each Pal comes in distinct rarities and types. Position your Pals strategically to avail most advantages out of your enemies. For example, keep the bulky tanks in the front, and your damage dealers in the back.

Combat happens automatically in Catch & Build: Land of Pals. Your Pals have their character icon displayed at the bottom along with their HP and energy bar. The HP bar is denoted by the red color while the energy bar is denoted by the yellow color. Your Pals lose HP when taking damage, eventually fainting if it falls to 0. They also gain energy when dealing or taking damage that lets them use their ultimate abilities. When their ultimate is ready, the character portrait will glow. Clicking on it will release their ultimate ability.
