How to Get Stronger in DDTank Mobile
Every DDTank Mobile player wants to get stronger in one way or another but most of them don’t know where to start. The game doesn’t really introduce all of the important mechanics clearly so it can take a while for players to figure out all the important aspects of the game on their own. Getting stronger is one of the things that players need to learn about when playing the game but the tutorial only mentions so much that some important things are left out or are easily missed.
Skill plays a very big role in DDTank Mobile which you can learn about in our DDTank Strategies Guide but your character’s strength is also an important factor that you need to keep in mind. You can be the best player in the world but if your character has some very bad items, even a beginner can take you down in the right situation. Let’s take a look at the different things that players can do to improve their character and make themselves a lot stronger in DDTank Mobile.
Learning About Stats
Stats are the main feature that determines whether or not your character is strong. There are 7 primary stats in the game which are HP, Attack, Armor, Speed, Crit Chance, Resistance/Block, and Angle. Most of the stats are self-explanatory aside from crit chance, resistance, and angles. The most important thing to know about these stats is that they’re not all the same when equipping various weapons and other stuff so try to determine which stats best match your play style when playing.
Let’s explain the uncommon stats in the game. Crit chance basically increases the likelihood of your attacks dealing bonus damage (separate from the bonus damage from battle items). Resistance lowers the effects of abilities that apply status effects such as stuns, slows, and poison. Finally, angle is exclusive to weapons and determines how high or low a weapon can aim in front of the character. Learning each stat is important in the next step of how you can get stronger.
Equipping the Right Weapon
As mentioned already, weapons are the biggest source of bonus stats in the game so it’s only natural that choosing the right weapon is the most important decision you need to make. The problem with weapons in DDTank is that you need to acquire them randomly so there’s no guarantee that you’ll get a good one on your first few tries unless you’re going to spend real money to purchase the premium currency that allows you to purchase more chances of pulling the best weapons.
For the first few days of playing the game, the strategy is simple – equip your rarest weapon. If you have multiple weapons of the highest quality you have, you can choose from those weapons depending on your playstyle. Try to look at the stats and determine which ones you want to have. At this point, the weapon choice depends entirely on your playstyle so if you like to play really dangerously, you might want to pick a weapon with high armor and health.
Cultivating your Weapon
Once you’ve found the perfect weapon to use in DDTank Mobile, it’s time to cultivate its power and improve your power levels even more. There are multiple ways to cultivate your weapon aside from just enhancing it. One method is by doing a breakthrough on that item, which is available when you collect enough shards of that specific item that is usually acquired when you get a duplicate copy of the same weapon. Breaking through unlocks a passive skill that is graded from C-tier to S-tier.
Enhancing is a lot more difficult in increasing your power but is a necessary step to make your character stronger. The game gives you enhance crystals which you can use to upgrade your arsenal. Enhance crystals have different levels, which correspond to the level bracket that they can upgrade. For example, a Level 1 Enhancer can only upgrade a weapon stat that is within levels 1-20 while a Level 2 Enhance can upgrade weapon stats that are within levels 20-59.
Choosing Your Battle Items
Choosing your battle item doesn’t really give you any bonus stats that will make your character innately stronger but having a reliable lineup of abilities that you bring into battle is essential in overcoming your opponents. Even though the game has a different set of abilities which make it seem like they’re all equally useful, some abilities are just plainly stronger than others. Using the right combinations will allow the player to have an edge right in the beginning of a fight.
Battle items are unlocked by leveling up. The higher the player’s level, the more Battle Items they can choose from at the beginning of every fight. The best battle items aren’t necessarily acquired at the highest level because some of the most useful abilities can be found relatively early into your progression. Working with what you have is probably the best thing you can do as a beginner but that doesn’t mean you won’t try to find what works best for you.
The game allows players to collect weapons when they use the gacha system. While players might complain that they keep getting “useless” weapons, these items still have a use for your character. DDTank Mobile features a collection bonus system that provides your character bonus stats depending on the number of weapons that you own. Even if those items aren’t actively being used or upgraded, they will still provide a small bonus for the player.
The bonuses are individually really small but by collecting a lot of weapons, the bonus grows significantly and can really impact your character’s power in a fight. This means that players who have more resources to acquire weapons will always have the advantage in terms of raw stats. However, even free-to-play users can catch up to these players if they grind enough resources to keep collecting weapons. Remember raw stats isn’t the only factor in winning because skilled players can play through a deficit.
