Destiny Rising Wolf Guide –Abilities, Skill Tree and How to Get

Destiny: Rising finally brings the famous PC and console FPS MMO series to mobile. The game offers many different characters you can collect through gacha mechanics, but one of the best may be closer to you than you think: your main character. In other words, the character you start the game with – Wolf.
Here, we’ll share detailed information about your main character, helping you learn everything you need to know about him and how to use him more effectively – let’s get started.
How to Get Wolf in Destiny: Rising
You don’t need to do anything special to get Wolf: it is the only selectable character when you start the game. You can customize some of its visual elements, but every player starts their adventure with it, so the game gives Wolf to you right from the start, and for free.
Base Features of Wolf
Wolf has the following features, respectively:
RARITY | This is a 4-star character, meaning it is Legendary rarity. It can be upgraded to the 5-star Mythic variant. |
ELEMENT | Wolf belongs to the Solar element. This element focuses on heat and healing—meaning it can both deal damage and heal. |
ROLE | Wolf’s combat role is Offense, meaning while he has healing abilities, he should primarily be used for dealing damage (as a DPS). |
COMBAT STYLE | Wolf specializes in medium-range combat. This means his weapon and Relic selection should be tailored accordingly. |
Wolf Abilities & Skill Tree
We can examine Wolf’s abilities and skills by dividing them into four basic categories: passive skill, super skill, signature skills, relic traits, and weapon mastery. Let’s examine each of these individually.
Wolf passive skill
This character has a single passive: Wolf’s Awakening. This allows him to accumulate an energy called Lupine Nature (LN) over time and use it to power his attacks. When you collect 120 LN, the damage of Wolf’s Strike will increase by 100% and its range will also increase. You’ll also gain 400 Overshield for 4 seconds.
Lupine Nature | You gain 3 LN per second in combat and 4 LN per second out of combat. Using an ability or finisher can increase these values up to 40 LN. This is a passive ability, meaning it is always active and does not need to be triggered by the player. |
Super skill of Wolf
This skill has a 70-second cooldown and is called Wolf’s Butchery. When activated, you unleash a three-piece AoE attack with a large sword, dealing 350 damage per hit. All enemies within a 5-meter radius will take this damage. While Super is active, you gain 20% speed and damage resistance. You can upgrade this skill with 3 Incandescence Tufts.
Signature skills of Wolf
Wolf has two signature skills. The first, Wolf’s Flames, deals 230 Solar damage to all enemies within a 6-meter radius. It has a 13-second cooldown and can be upgraded with 3 Incandescence Tufts.
The second is Wolf’s Strike. This deals 420 Solar damage to all enemies in a 1.5-meter radius. This also has a 13 second cooldown and can be upgraded with 3 Incandescence Tufts.
Relic traits of Wolf
Wolf has three different relic traits, and unlocking them requires using different materials. These traits are:
- Searing Offensive: Increases the radius of Wolf’s Flames skill by 50% for 8 seconds and grants an Overshield of 400 HP. The following materials are required to upgrade this trait: Incandescence Tuft (12)
- Infernal Claws: If an enemy’s HP is below the finisher’s threshold, Wolf can instantly kill them. The following materials are required to upgrade this trait: Incandescence Tuft (16) + Incandescence Ribbon (8)
- Bane of the Mighty: If Elite or stronger enemies have the Ignition debuff, Wolf can deal 20% additional damage to them. The following materials are required to upgrade this trait: Incandescence Ribbon (16) + Burning Incandescence Sheaf (8) + Incandescence Cluster (1).
Weapon mastery of Wolf
This is a mastery with five levels and is based on Combustion damage.
LEVEL 1 | When enemies get the Ignition debuff, Combustion damage is triggered, dealing 15% additional damage. |
LEVEL 2 | Combustion damage is increased to 22%. |
LEVEL 3 | Combustion damage is increased to 30%. |
LEVEL 4 | Cobustion damage is saved, and when the Ignition debuff ends, 30% of the saved damage affects all enemies within a 10-meter radius. |
LEVEL 5 | Combustion damage is increased to 50%. |
To upgrade these masteries, the following materials are required: Incandescence Turf (6) + Incandescence Ribbon (3) + Solar Fruit (3).
Wolf Talent Tree
Wolf’s talent tree has six options, and unlocking the fifth one will also grant you a dynamic avatar. Currently, the available talents are:
HUNTING HOURS | Wolf’s Strike grants a 400 HP Overshield. |
RALLIED CHARGE | Using Lupine Nature grants allies within a 25-meter radius Wolf’s Dash for 8 seconds. |
HOWLING STRIKE | Causes Wolf’s Strike to deal 50% more damage. |
COMBUSTION | Reduces the cooldown for Wolf’s Butchery to 55 seconds. |
EVERBLAZE | Increases the Ignition debuff’s duration to 12 seconds, and increases Combustion damage by 20%. |
FIERY RAMPAGE | Wolf’s Butchery deals 60% more damage with an additional attack and triggers the Ignition debuff. |
Wolf is a character suited to almost any playstyle, and with this information, you’ll have a clearer idea of what to expect. As always, we recommend playing Destiny: Rising on PC with BlueStacks this way you can have a much more enjoyable and smooth experience.
