Players might not notice it at first, but resources are important in ISEKAI: Demon Waifu. Everything you can do is dependent on the number of resources you have on hand and the amount you can produce in the future. Unlike real-time strategy games, resources in this game aren’t produced by buildings but rather are collected by the government with the help of the Demon Prince’s subordinates. The only real thing that players need to know here is what those resources are and how to get them.

ISEKAI: Demon Waifu - Resource Guide

ISEKAI: Demon Waifu successfully replicates the resource management elements from strategy games and incorporates them into the kingdom-based theme that the game has. Needless to say, the game perfectly uses these elements to make the game engaging while simultaneously taking away the annoyance factor that almost always accompanies real-time strategy games. Once a player has mastered everything there is to know about collecting resources, they will never have to be broke ever again.

Resource Types

There are three primary resource types in ISEKAI: Demon Waifu – Magic Crystals, Food, and Troops. Each of these resources plays an important part in the survival of the Demon Prince’s kingdoms. They each have a single specific use, but they are essential parts of the game, so they can’t be ignored.

  1. Magic Crystals

Magic Crystals are a resource used to upgrade subordinates. There are two major ways to collect these resources. The first method is by collecting it on the Levy tab. Magic Crystals are directly influenced by the total Trade attribute (balance scale icon) that all of your Subordinates have. The second way is by participating in the Mine Excavation event, which allows the player to mine Magic Crystals by tapping on an exposed node repeatedly until they run out of chances to do so.

Magic Crystals are frequently used and always seem to run out. The Demon King has quite a few Subordinates, and they will only keep increasing as the player progresses through the game. The higher the subordinate’s level becomes, the more magic crystals will be consumed during their upgrading process. Eventually, players will reach a point where they’ll be waiting hours to farm Magic Crystals, only to be consumed all at once by a single subordinate.

  1. Food

Food is the scarcest of all the resources in the game. It is influenced by the Negotiation attribute from subordinates. Food is only used as a cost to Levy Troops from the kingdom. Despite having only one use, Food is actually difficult to come across because of how limited the sources are. The only major source of Food is the Levy, but players can get them from so many other ways like Outings, Council, and Tributes.

The biggest problem that players will likely encounter when trying to farm food is if their Leadership skill is higher than their Negotiation skill, as it means that the production of troops is larger than the production of food. There should be a 1:1 ratio when it comes to recruiting Troops from the Levy so that players that have low Food production won’t also be overcrowded since it will match their Troop levels/production.

  1. Troops

Troops are an important resource in this game because they are used to progress through the Expedition. This resource is influenced by the Leadership subordinate attribute. An additional cost for getting troops is Food. Essentially, if your Troop Production is significantly greater than your food, your Troop Production may get bottlenecked. Luckily, players can also get Troops from the Demon Soldiers summoning platform.

Troops are expended every time a player sends them on an Expedition or if the player sends them on an Underground Exploration. The number of troops lost depends on how many enemy soldiers they fight against and the Military subordinate attribute. The higher the Military Attribute, the fewer soldiers’ lives are lost in battle.

Subordinate Attributes

Subordinate Attributes are important when modifying the production of Resources. Players can increase a subordinate’s attributes by leveling them up, giving them Consort blessings, or by consuming Potions. The most important thing to keep in mind is that TOTAL attributes are computed as modifiers in production, so it doesn’t matter if you balance out all of the attributes or distribute them to select subordinates.

Subordinates specialize in certain Attributes, which are indicated on the icons at the left-hand side of their character portrait. The more stars they have on the attribute, the higher the upgrade they get on the modifier whenever they Level Up. Players that might want to raise the production of a single attribute may want to consider selecting certain characters that specialize in that attribute; this way, they don’t experience production shortages.

Levy Resources

Levying is the best way to collect resources. As mentioned, attributes will directly affect the number of resources being produced in the Levy tab. The higher the production is, the longer it will take before players can collect these resources. If you think about it, it’s actually a good thing because not everyone likes the idea of having to collect resources every 60 seconds.

The maximum number of times you can Levy depends on the Demon Prince’s level, increasing the capacity by one for every level gained. At later levels, where production is plentiful, and the Demon Prince also has a high level, it will take longer before the player can collect the maximum amount of resources.

Resource Bundles

Resource Bundles are items on the inventory that are given as a reward from achievements, quests, or events. These bundles contain a certain number of specific resources which give the player instant bonuses that they can use right away. It is recommended that players consume these bundles immediately so that they can make some headway in the game. There is no maximum limit when gathering resources, nor is there a reason to hoard them, so there’s no use in letting them collect dust.

Players are also encouraged to play through the different game modes and experience each of the quests so that they know what they need to complete before the day ends. Resource Bundles are the least stressful way to earn resources because it doesn’t require the player to wait for hours at a time to get the stuff they need.
