Tip #1. Choose your Class Wisely!

In Tree of Savior: NEO, players are forced to choose one class out of 5 given options at the start of their account creation journey. This decision is very important as players won’t be able to change their class once selected. Further, each class is essentially a unique character of their own with distinct abilities and playstyles. We would recommend thoroughly reading about each class (Class Guide) and its utility before making this decision. Each class is unique, as some are melee-ranged and some are long-ranged. Further, their abilities also differ, making them highly customizable.

Tip #2. Complete the Main Quests for Streamlined Progression

Since Tree of Savior: NEO is a modern MMORPG, the questing functionality is also available. These quests can come in many different types, but the ones that you should focus on are the main quests. Main quests are storyline-oriented quests, completing which can help you unlock new game modes and game features. These quests are outlined by yellow color, and players can simply tap on them to auto-navigate towards the questing location.

You will be going back and forth between different quest locations, so prepare to spend a lot of time in them. While some quests can be boring, such as talking to NPCs, others can be quite interesting, such as combat-related quests.

Tip #3. Challenge the Gear Rift!

The gear rift is a specialized dungeon that unlocks as you complete more main quests. This dungeon is quite challenging and the rewards scale according to the difficulty of the floor you are fighting. Keep in mind, you can choose to play this game mode either solo or in a co-op setting with your friends. As the name itself might suggest, this gear rift is the primary way to get access to more gear pieces. Players can challenge and get rewarded from this dungeon up to 2 times per day. It also has a chance of dropping some Gold as one of the rewards as well. Ensure to participate twice daily for the best case scenario.

Tip #4. Progress in the Archi Tower

The Archi tower is another game mode in Tree of Savior: NEO that unlocks quite early on when you focus on the main quests, and rightfully so, because it is very important from a progression perspective. As the name might suggest, this content offers challenging bosses in a floor-wise system. Players can challenge these floors, and the difficulty increases exponentially with each subsequent floor. You can challenge each floor once, and the rewards are given only for first time clear. This game mode is crucial if you want resources such as experience, dried fish, fish jelly, gacha tickets, and gold catpal shards. We would recommend fighting as far as you can in this game mode.

Tip #5. Equip the Right Cards!

In Tree of Savior: NEO, the card system ensures players can get enough stats, regardless of the type of class they are playing. Cards come in 4 differing qualities – Blue, Purple, Gold, and Red. The higher the rarity of the card, the more stats they will impart. Now, cards also come in 3 different types – Brilliance, Spright, and Chaos. Brilliance-type cards impart more attack to your character, Spright-type cards impart more HP to your character, and Chaos-type cards impart PvP-oriented stats to your character.
