Watcher of Realms – US is one of the newest mobile RPGs and invites you on a unique adventure in the legendary land of Tya. You will need to collect over 200 heroes to build your own team and take on all the challenges that come your way. To help you do this quickly and smoothly, we’ve prepared a beginner’s guide: by using the information here, you can complete the early game phase as easily as possible and start the mid-game on a solid footing.

Hero Classes

There are many heroes you can place on the battlefield in this game. Heroes are divided into classes, and each class takes on a different role. However, more importantly, each one offers a different playstyle. Your options are as follows:

Fighter

They take on the melee DPS role. You cannot use them as tanks. In fact, we can say that they are as fragile as ranged DPS. They can deal both physical and magic damage. They can also perform both single-target and AoE attacks. They can deal heavy damage as long as they are protected by Defenders and Healers.

Defender

These characters take on the role of tanks in the game. They have high HP and defense, and their main job is to protect other heroes. You should use them to block incoming damage, not to deal damage. They are extremely important and have a place in every setup.

Mage

They also take on the ranged DPS role, but they deal mostly magic damage. We can repeat everything we said about Marksmen for them as well. There is only one difference: mages focus on single target damage instead of AoE.

Healer

Their job is to heal, buff, and keep other team members alive. They have single-target or AoE healing abilities. They are just as important as tanks, and they should be placed in every team, or you cannot survive.

Marksman

They take on the ranged DPS role. They primarily deal physical damage and can attack flying enemies. This is one of the key differences between them and fighters: their damage isn’t as high as fighters’, but fighters can’t attack flying targets. Marksmen focus on AoE damage.

Tactician

This class, added to the game in July 2025, takes on the support role. They have a gameplay mechanic that allows them to change their positions on the battlefield, earning new buffs each time they do so. They are quite useful for end-game content, but their complex gameplay may be challenging for newcomers.

How Do You Get Heroes?

You obtain heroes primarily by summoning them, and the results of summoning are left to chance. In other words, the gacha mechanic you see in most games is also used here. You can increase your chances of obtaining certain rare heroes with the pity system, but we recommend that you avoid using standard banners and instead opt for time-limited banners that become active on weekends: this will increase your chances of obtaining legendary heroes.

WHICH HEROES SHOULD YOU TARGET? Among the best heroes you can get through summoning are Wrath (Fighter), Idril (Marksman), Dolores (Healer), Eona (Mage), and Olague (Defender).

How Do You Power Up Heroes?

Once you have obtained them, you can use different mechanics to power up your heroes in the early game.

  • Leveling Up: You can increase the levels of your heroes by using Hero XP potions. Keep in mind that you will also need to increase their star levels to raise the Max Level limits.
  • Promotion: You can promote heroes using Insignias and Extracts. This increases their stats and unlocks new skills.
  • Awakening: You can further boost all stats by using copies of a hero.

In addition, you can also enhance heroes’ skills using Dust materials.

How to Earn XP, Gold, and Diamonds

You need XP to level up in the game, and Gold is required for almost everything else. Progressing through the Campaign stages is the best way to obtain both. The further you progress, the higher the EXP Raid and Gold Raid stages you unlock. Some heroes have XP and Gold boosts too, so you may want to consider adding them to your team.

The best way to obtain diamonds, the game’s premium currency, is to complete daily and weekly quests. Additionally, almost every event in the game rewards them as prizes. If you really need diamonds, you might consider selling rare heroes: you can get 30 diamonds for each one. We recommend using this currency solely for summoning.
