Awaken: Chaos Era, the latest offering in the turn-based RPG gaming market by Century Games Limited is making waves in the community. The game is already being praised for being far ahead of its curve at the launch itself due to the amazing Quality of Life features and attention to detail. The game continues to launch more interesting events and updates on a weekly basis to smoothen the gameplay experience even further. One of the recent updates saw the launch of 2 new heroes – Okubi and Godfery

New Heroes Godfery and Okubi Released in Awaken: Chaos Era

Awaken: Chaos Era is a gacha/hero collector game where players have to summon units from the Summoning system to obtain and use them. Players can do this by going to the Summon tab in the main lobby. In Awaken: Chaos Era, players have a 1% chance of summoning Legendary grade champions which are highly coveted and are the highest rarity units available. To the joy of players, a soft pity and hard pity exists in Awaken: Chaos Era. Each banner except Normal Banner and Rookie Summons has its own pity counter. After players complete 70 summons on the Advanced Banner or Limited Summon Banner, the rates of summoning a legendary hero increase by 0.5% per Advanced Summon or Stardust Summon used. This increased rate stack with the base rate of 1%. After 90 summons, this increased rate further rises to 1% per Advanced Summon or Stardust Summon used. At 100 summons, a legendary hero is guaranteed to be summoned and this is what we call Hard Pity.

Okubi – New Wood Elemental Unit

Okubi is an Epic rarity Wood elemental unit from the Crisas Faction. Okubi aims to be a debuff-loving hero which excels at stacking more debuffs with his Demonic Flora passive ability. This ability states that whenever any ally inflicts debuffs to enemies, Okubi will further apply a Random Stats Down along with them but this effect will only happen 2 times every round. Random Stats Down include the following debuffs – Defense, Attack, Speed, Critical Rate, Critical Hit Damage, Focus, and Resistance. His 1st ability Souleater Bract is a single targeted damaging ability that has a 100% chance to inflict Resistance Down debuff for 2 turns on the target.

His 2nd ability Thorny Passage is also a single targeted damaging ability that removes a single positive effect from the target while inflicting a No Positive Effect debuff for 2 turns on the same target. This skill is on a 3 turn cooldown. His ultimate ability Dance of the Forsaken is an AOE targeted damaging ability that targets all enemies and summons Demonic Flora for 2 turns. The base cooldown is 5 turns but can be skilled up to 3 turns only. Overall, we feel Okubi is a really strong hero for dungeons like Queen of the Tides as well as works in any Debuff heavy team compositions like a Poison team with Gangelo, Santis, etc. We recommend building him on Cursed and Raptor Set with a focus on Speed, Focus, Health, and Defense as stats.

Godfery – New Wood Elemental Legendary Unit

Godfery is a new Legendary grade Wood elemental unit from the Sylvan Woodlands faction. He is an interesting unit that aims to work as a unit that can dispel buffs from enemies while redistributing them among allies. His trait ability Ragestasis states he has a 50% chance to increase the cooldown on the enemy’s ultimate ability while also dealing 80% damage to the target whenever he hits an enemy who has a Positive effect (Also called Buff) on them. The chance further increases to 100% if you Ascend the trait. His 1st ability Onslaught is a single targeted damaging ability that has a 100% chance to inflict Defense Down debuff for 2 turns.

His 2nd ability Cacophony is also a single targeted damaging ability that has a 100% chance to inflict an Unhealable debuff for 2 turns. This skill is on a base 4 turn cooldown but can be skilled down to 3 turn cooldown. Godfery’s ultimate ability Sufficiency is a single targeted damaging ability which states Godfery transfers 1 positive effect from the targeted enemy and distributes it to all allies while completely removing all Positive effects from the selected target. This skill is on a base 5 turn cooldown but can be skilled down to 3 turn cooldown.

New Heroes Godfery and Okubi Released in Awaken: Chaos Era

Godfery aims to be a counter to buff heavy teams as he punishes those who have more Positive effects by stealing them, removing them, as well as increasing the cooldown on their ultimate ability. He is mostly going to be used in Arena as his kit is more focused on PvP and not PvE areas. We recommend building Godfery on Terra, Raptor, and Vanguard/Revival Set with a focus on HP%, Defense%, Focus%, and Resistance% as stats.

Take a look at Godfery’s skillset in detail:

Ragestasis (Trait)

Deals 80% damage to the enemy recipient of a positive effect with a (50% → 100%) chance of extending the cooldown on the target’s ultimate ability by 1 turn.

Onslaught

Deals 80% damage to one enemy and applies Defense Down for 2 turns.

Cacophony

Deals 100% damage to one enemy and applies Unhealable for 2 turns.

Sufficiency

Deals 120% damage to an enemy and randomly transfers 1 positive effect from the target to all team members. Removes all positive effects on the target.
