Defense Derby has enjoyed massive success globally, as Krafton seems to be pushing it to multiple players through an aggressive marketing campaign. The results seem to be paying off, as players are loving the real-time tower-defense RPG and the tactical gameplay that surrounds it. Defense Derby is available to be downloaded and installed as a free-to-play game on both the Google Play Store and iOS App Store. Plaguemancer – New Unit

The Plaguemancer is going to be the latest unit to be added to Defense Derby. Belonging to the Beast faction, the new unit possesses magical abilities and skillsets that can dominate the battlefield and squash those annoying derbies. Plaguemancer has a unique ultimate ability called “Plague Time”, that inflicts all surrounding enemies in a range with infection that spreads and deals damage over time. The damage is directly proportional to his own Attack.

A new game mode called “Mirror Match – Plaguemancer”, is also scheduled to be released along with the update. This game mode see’s the player plays against opponents in real-time, with both of them possessing an identical deck that contains Plaguemancer in it. This game mode will be available only till 14th September 2023.

Random Hero Mode – Put your Wits to Work!

The Random Hero Mode see’s the player put work into selecting their units, artifacts, and castle skins but the hero’s provided to them are completely randomized. This adds to the overall competitive nature of the game as both the players struggle to find a successful team composition without knowing which hero they will be getting. This game mode will be live from 15th September to 28th September.

With the new update, Defense Derby is also going to be hosting a ton of live events and login rewards just for checking in to the game. Players can get up to 1,000 Cubics, 24 hours of Gold, and 24 hours of Elixir just by logging in to the game after the update. A 7-day consecutive check-in event is also scheduled to take place that will offer generous rewards.
