Epic Seven has hooked millions of players globally with its unique anime-stylized art style and 2D motion graphics. The turn-based RPG features over 150+ unique heroes, each with their own full-HD 3D rendered animations that look beautiful to watch and play with.  Epic Seven is a free-to-play game that is available on both the Google Play Store and iOS App Store. 

The recent update has piqued the interest of many players thanks to the introduction of much-awaited hero and artifact balance changes. Smilegate have been heavily advertising the game to pump up players for a seemingly “massive” update that is coming soon. The addition of Draft Arena and the balance adjustments are just the precursor for the massive update. Let’s check all the new content that was introduced to Epic Seven with the 14th March 2024 update. 

Draft Arena – New Game Mode

Draft Arena will feature the updated draft mode that was available in World Arena Mock Battles.  Enjoy playing Draft Arena even if you don’t have any heroes or equipment. Players who are Level 40 or above can access this game mode. It is located in the Arena menu under the name of “Draft Arena”. For the time being, players can access this game mode 3 times a day at the following timings:

  • 03:00 – 05:00 UTC
  • 11:00 – 13:00 UTC
  • 19:00 – 21:00 UTC

After the new draft arena goes live, players will be able to use the following heroes in the game mode: Hwayoung, Rimuru, Elvira, Byblis, Arunka, Blooming Lidica, Ervalen, Judge Kise, Dragon King Sharun, Eternal Wanderer Ludwig,Shuna, Emilia, Milim, and Laia.

Hero/Artifact Balance Adjustments

This balance patch for the month of March 2024 can already be seen live in-game as it was implemented on 14th March 2024 after the server reset. As per usual, the list of heroes and artifacts that are going to be undergoing buffs and bug fixes is massive. Here is a summary of the heroes and artifacts that are included in this balance patch:

Little Queen Charlotte

Little Queen Charlotte will see the following balance changes in her skills:

The Will of La Mare (Awakened) – Smashes the enemy with a sword and attacks, absorbing some of the damage dealt as Health. When the enemy is defeated, inflicts extinction. Penetrates the target’s Defense by 50%, and when the target is a Dark elemental, increases damage dealt and deals additional damage proportional to the caster’s Attack to all enemies except for the target.

Imprint Concentration – Critical Hit Chance +5.6% ~ 16.8%

Top Model Luluca

Top Model Luluca will see the following balance changes in her skills:

Energy Ball – Uses the suit’s energy to attack the enemy. When used on the caster’s turn, has a 40% chance to grant an extra attack with the same skill. When the enemy is not an Elite or Boss monster, damage sharing effects are ignored.

Victory Pose (Awakened) – Manifests the suit’s energy, granting a barrier to the caster for 3 turns and increasing Attack of all allies except for the caster for 2 turns.  Grants the caster an extra turn. Barrier strength increases proportional to the caster’s level.

Skill Enhancement:

+1: +5% barrier strength

+2: +10% barrier strength

+3: -1 turn cooldown

+4: +10% barrier strength

+5: +15% barrier strength

Demolished – Increases Attack of the caster for 3 turns, before attacking the enemy with dimensional energy and when the enemy is defeated, inflicts extinction. Increases Combat Readiness of all allies by 20%, and grants stealth to the caster for 2 turns. Damage dealt increases proportional to the caster’s Speed.

Soulburn effect (10 Souls): Increases damage dealt.

Requiem Roana

Requiem Roana will see the following balance changes in her skills:

Boundless Obsession (3rd Skill) – Reduces the effect of Combat Readiness increases provided by Speed ​​by 50%.

At the start of the foremost ally’s turn except for the caster, increases Combat Readiness of the caster by 100%.

Eternal Lament (Awakened) – Attacks all enemies with a horde of illusions, dispelling one buff before increasing cooldowns by 1 turn and decreasing Combat Readiness by 30%. Cannot trigger a critical hit, and penetrates the target’s Defense. Overall damage dealt by this ability is increased.

Clarissa

Clarissa will see the following balance changes in her skills:

Hysteric (Awakened) – Attacks all enemies by spinning, inflicting two bleeding effects for 2 turns, with a 70% chance to decrease Defense for 2 turns. When an enemy is defeated, resets skill cooldown.  When the caster is enraged, damage dealt is increased. Overall damage dealt by this skill is increased.

Falconer Kluri

Falconer Kluri will see the following balance changes in her skills:

Achievement Rune (Specialty Change) – Inflicts resource reduction on the target by 40% when using Light Step on the caster’s turn.

Victorious Flag

Victorious Flag, the 5-Star artifact is getting changed in the following way:

Description: When attacking, damage dealt increases by 16%.

When being attacked, damage taken decreases by 16%. When more than one damage reduction effect is granted, only the strongest effect is applied.

The effect of this Artifact applies only to Earth, Ice, and Fire elemental Heroes, and can only be applied to one Hero within a team.
